I can highly recommend the free program 'HandBrake'.


That will not only convert .avi files to a much smaller .mp4 file, but you can also use it to covert .mov to .mp4.

Why would you want to do that?

Because those hand-drawn videos from Video Scribe produce a .mov file and you'll probably want .mp4.

Also, if you put an existing .mp4 file into it, you'll get a file out that's about a third of the original size, without loss of quality, for lightening fast loading on line.

Handbrake is good. I also use Aiseesoft Total Media Converter which I got free from Giveaway of the Day.

I use any video converter it's free.

I tried 7 or 8 converters. Any Video Converter is my choice.

There are many good video convertor available in the market and you can choose on of them.

Been using it early this year. Although it has limitations (like the export features), however, everything is almost quite okay for me.

I suggest use convert2mp3.com as it is free toold and another is prism converter as it is also a free option to use.

To convert the avi to mp4 you can use any video converter as you wish. Because these are the two common video format in the world. in the internet you will be able to find many video converter at free of cost. I have used two good free video converter. one is "Xilisoft Video Converter" & another is "Any Video Converter Professional v3.0.1"

I downloaded Handbrake and tested it. Its very good but the quality and video size is exactly the same as Leawo which is the one I have have been using. Leawo is not free but Handbrake is free and the quality is the same. So, that's pretty good.

Leawo outputs any file format, which is very good, but that why its not free I guess.

BTW: I am not promoting Leawo

Another vote for Any Video Converter. Free, generally easy to use, dependable.

I use Camtasia for all of my audio/video converting needs.

As far as I know, no other program comes close.

I remember forking out big bucks to upgrade a few years ago and it was definitely work it.

If you look hard enough, you may be able to find a free version online somewhere, but if you go that route you lose out on tech support, not to mention a host of other sweet features on the upgraded version.
