I'm looking for some input as far as webinar applications go.... Ideally, I would like to have one that records the webinar... Any suggestions? |

I've assisted to a lot of webinars and most of them were using GoToWebinar. I guess that means it's a good thing. |

I can't find on their site whether or not you have the ability to have it recorded or not...

Jeremy, it records. But it does so using your PC. Basically, you start the webinar, then you go to the toolbar and enable the recording. If you go this route, check this post. GoToWebinar is good. I like the fact that it has a built in VoIP to use, so you can use your computer's speakers and mic as an alternative to using your phone. Also, there's nconnects.com/ I haven't personally used them, but I was looking at the site eariler today. They have a free trial available too. |

Go to meeting has a few quirks... its a good option but definately not the "best." It is however priced quite affordably compared to most solutions. The best I would have to say is Adobe Connect Pro. I scored an account with 100 seats for just $500 a year... normally it runs around $350 a month for that. The key is that I found an Adobe reseller that was willing to sell me an individual account at that price: Envisiontel |

Hi Jeremy, I've used quite a few and my definite answer would be gotomeeting or gotowebinar. It's worth the price if you use it regularly! Allen |

GoToWebinar, for the win. Something to note in the recordings, they aren't the best quality and it may be a good idea to use a third party screen recorder for the best performance. I recommend using Camtasia with GoToWebinar and everything will work and look great. |

I'm partial to GoToMyWebinar, but I also hear great things about Connect Pro. Big jump in price though.

That is exactly what we are trying to avoid and I'm still looking at options...The price itself really isn't a factor because if you do it right, you can make your money back in one webinar | |

| DimDim is open source video conference software that costs a fraction of what you pay for GoWebinar - I believe you can also record. It's free for up to 20 users so may be a good place to start to get some practice if you have small groups. Haven't tried it myself yet, but it may be a case of 'you get what you pay for'. |

Jeremy. Gotowebinar makes sense if you are planning to talk to thousands of people at once... If you are looking at just 100 people at once or less, go for Cisco Webex... almost same price, but many more features, and much better quality. For my Physics site, I am paying Cisco almost $1000 a month so we can accomodate for 1000 students attending at once. And we still conduct the same class 12 times, LOL. I foung GotoWebinar's video quality just too bad (and it slows, pauses and hangs in between, especially with multiple people presenting), plus it is not too friendly for Mac and Linux users. Here's the link for Cisco... WebEx: Web Conferencing, Web Meeting, Video Conference, Online Meeting Services They will provide you with a custom solution that fits all your requirements at probably a slightly higher price. Hope you make the decision carefully. -Lakshay |
