Kindling by Geoff Shaw Vs Kindle money mastery by Stefan Pylarinos

Hey guys

I'm ready to dive into kindle and start publishing some books.

Two courses that caught my eye are

1) Kindling by Geoff Shaw

2) Kindle money mastery by Stefan Pylarinos

Both have excellent reviews but Id prefer to purchase just 1 of them and focus on that.

Is there anyone on here who has purchased both courses?

Or can anyone recommend one over the other?

Would love to hear some feedback

Thanks guys

Alan

    1) Kindling
This is A to Z about Kindle publishing as a steady business model/income stream. Great course, super in-depth, a big focus on fiction though. I have been able to translate it into non-fiction successfully for myself. You literally cannot go wrong with this, and Geoff updates it a fair amount. Also, he doesn't hammer his customer list with BS. This course is more about building your empire methodically rather than explosively.

    2. Kindle Money Mastery
Heavy focus on non-fiction outsourced books and getting moving fast. Great research techniques and niche selection techniques. If you're looking to push your publishing income in a balls-to-the-wall fast paced and hustling hard type manner, then this is for you.

Both require some sweat equity to get moving, both work, and both can build six figure per year (or per month even if you keep at it hard enough and for long enough). Kindling holds your hand more, so if you need that, go with that and get Stefan's later.

You'll likely enjoy both in my opinion.

I've been writing for a couple of years and have both of these programs. I would agree with what James Campbell said above.

Kindle Money Mastery is about knocking out as many books as you can as fast as you can. This means outsourcing unless you have unlimited time, energy and some writing skills.

My experience with outsourcing short, informational non-fiction books was not good. The quality is generally poor unless you have unlimited funds to pay for top English speaking writers. I decided that wasn't the route for me. I didn't feel good about what I was publishing on Kindle.

I would say I'm now back to following Geoff Shaw's Kindling methods. I'm writing non-fiction now but will be writing fiction again and am excited to be publishing something I'm proud of.

A third possibility for you is Bryan Kumar's private Kindle group here on the Warrior Forum. He has some great stuff and it's nice being able to post and communicate with other authors there.

        Best of luck,

        Jerry

I agree with the others: Kindling is the best. No doubt about it. Also, the information is updated whenever something important changes. I like that.

In terms of talking with other authors, online, Geoff has a Facebook group. I'm too busy writing to participate, but I've heard that it's good.

However, I recommend finding other successful authors near you (in real life) and scheduling regular get-togethers where you can swap news, resources, and trial-and-error insights. Many authors won't share the full story, online, but they'll spill the beans over coffee at the local cafe or bookstore. (Not that I've ever said more than I should at a get-together like that, mind you. Ahem.)

I do both, both are great, I was not able to emulate the figures promised in KMM though - I have around 40 books making $300 per month... the figures claim 100-125 books making $7000 per month... I followed it step by step and no dice.

I've had the same problem. I've got a dozen books in both fiction and nonfiction categories and all had great reviews. I earn about $5 per month when things are going well, and often less. What every Kindle course needs to point out is that a certain amount of luck is involved. You just never know when a book is going to go viral, and when it does, you can do well with follow-ups and sequels.

On the other hand, the market for Kindle books is quite competitive, and a lot of good books just get lost in the shuffle.

Kindling contains a lot of great information, though the site is poorly organized. I'd recommend it highly if you're serious about Kindle publishing as a long-term business model. I gave up on it; after a dozen books and about $1000-$1500 spent on professional artwork and advertising, I'm still about $1000 in the hole. And like I said, every one of my books got great reviews.

That's just how it goes sometimes.

I haven't seen either of those two but one I recently did a review on and liked was http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-discount.html

While it gives more focus to fiction it also covers nonfiction. After going through it for the review and working through some of the steps, I'm going through it the second time and making even more changes and tweaks to my stuff and starting some serious marketing focused on Kindle.

I've been following Kindle Money Mastery course and all I can say that it's worth your money. I already published 2 books for $70 each and they are making me around $200-$250 /month.

Hi, I looked on the Warrior Forum and it says that Kindling by Geoff Shaw is closed. Does that mean you're not able to purchase the program?

I see that it cost $127, is there any discount available for warrior forum members?

I'm into fiction writing and was wondering if anyone can comment about how it helped them with any aspect of writing a story for kindle.

And can anyone comment on how much more expensive this program is?

Some of his affiliates can still get you in. I am one of them if you are interested. Feel free to PM me. The combination of the course materials and the FB group are well worth many times the cost, IF you commit and take action ;-) Esp if you start with and focus on fiction lol

If you Google Geoff Shaw Kindling you'll find his website where you can buy it direct, though the price has now gone up to $137 and as someone who joined well over a year ago it's worth every penny.

You just have to be willing to put in the work. Even if you plan on outsourcing you still need to work to find good writers and make sure their work is of good quality.

Charlie -- That is a large part of what is discussed in the Kindling FB group and why it is so valuable. If you aren't in it, I recommend that you join it ASAP ;-)

Also in Fiction, pubbing the first in the series and *Waiting to see* is a self-fulfilling prophecy in many genres. ;-) Rabid readers won't by the first/only book in a series

Likewise, just writing and pubbing, without doing the genre research.

Not saying that you have done this, just offering a perspective ;-)

In fiction, competition is far less of an issue than it is in NF, since people read for entertainment, rather than to solve a problem

When you have solved a problem, you lose the reader ;-)

When you entertain them, you have them... as long as you are writing what they want to read and provided of course, you are meeting the Readers' Expectations

Geoff Shaw's course is updated continuously and the FB group is worth ten times the cost of the course... with folks who are *really* making it., not just teaching about it ;-)

Do note, for real success, Geoff's methods should be used in fiction rather than non-fiction. They WILL work with NF, but NF has too many limitations to be REALLY successful ;-)

There are a number of active members in the FB group who are making 4 and 5 figures... monthly ;-)

Forgot to say, his WSO is closed but a few of his affiliates are still permitted to promote. I am one, just as an FYI
