How premiumPress.com hurt its old customers

I got into PremiumPress customer database in January 2013. I bought DirectoryPress unlimited site license. three things forced me to buy this package;

Lifetime updates
Unlimited domain usage
Good looking themes and a lot of features

First of all I became disappointed when I started testing the theme because it did not work up to the expectations.

I left my decision to use it on my directory listing project and started searching alternatives to DirectoryPress ( which is now responsive directory theme ).

After a year I found that DirectoryPress would no longer be developed and developer Mark Fail launched its variant theme "Responsive Directory Theme" which was not available for users of DirectoryPress and DirectoryPress users needed to pay extra money to use Responsive Directory Theme.

They said that DirectoryPress and other old framework themes are different products and would get updated separately. But it did not happen. After one year when there was no update for DirectoryPress I contacted support and they replied that old framework themes would no be developed anymore.

This article has proof that they offered lifetime product upgrades.
