Are PRWeb press release type services all syndicated/automated

Right now we are looking at different options in regards to press releases and such, we have tested a couple out and have seen some pretty good success in regards to seeing our stuff ranked up and showing in some decent places.

However, it all seems a bit automated and push button generated. I say this because we had one correct something and then it was delivered in around 10-15 mins with emails linking us to the pickups and such.

Can anyone let me know please...

Thanks

It depends on the PR service you are using.

There is software out there to automate press release submissions, you will usually find the cheaper services are simply using these to post to free press release websites/directories. These are usually more harmful to your website than anything else.

On the other hand there are newswires with actual syndication channels, media contacts, partnerships with many big name news outlets etc.

All good newswires will have a manual approval before pushing the release out. Some of the syndication channels can go live almost instantly due to certain networks auto posting anything that the newswires have already approved, while further distribution comes about over time as more read / share / re-post the news release.

News does indeed travel much faster than it did 20 years ago, but it can still take up to 2 weeks before you see a press release that has been sent via strong distribution channels to really reach it's peak level of distribution.
