Anyone Using Russel Bronson Click Funnels?

I friend of mine just called me asking for advise on this product.

For a trial you need to use your credit card information.

Did anyone tried it? Does it worth it?

There's a two week trial so well worth giving it a try yourself.

I just created a funnel with it last night - just a test - but it was definitely very easy to use, by far the easiest I have seen so far. A wide variety of pre-made templates to choose from - and it literally walks you through the process 1-2-3 for creating several types of funnels.

The downside is some things that I wanted to change - I couldn't. For example, the submit button on one template I liked was something like 'download your free report' and that was not appropriate for what I was doing - although the image was perfect!

It's possible I simply don't know it well enough to change the button - but it's pretty intuitive and I figured everything else out quite easily, so I think you may be stuck with the button text.

All in all - a really nicely done product, very easy to use, and lots of variety in the designs. I think I went from signup to testing my first funnel in about 30 minutes.

Would love to hear how this compares to the others out there as I am looking for something like this - but I think it could be easy to go over the monthly limits the program has set if you get a couple of decent campaigns going.

I was huge fan of optimize press so far but clickfunnels really got my attention.

I really feel impressive about following things.

(1)Huge database of nice looking templates of squeeze page , sales page , download page .

(2)Intuitive user interface.Much smoother and easier interface compared to optimize press.

(3)Point and click sales funnel, webinar funnels and even membership funnels.

(4)It is on 14 day free trail ,so you do not have to lose anything.

The only downside of things program is monthly payment so try it for 14 days free ,if's suits for you continue it .

Three tiers for membership. I believe the lowest was around $37. Second was $97 and then $297 for top tier. You get more funnels, views, etc. with the higher tiers.

I just cancelled my trial subscription on this. It immediately places you in the $97/m billing category. You can however change this once a member.

First of all they required you to submit your credit card in advance to take advantage of trying out the product, which should have been a red flag. Think "Free Credit Report Dot Com". Then, there is no information on how to cancel your account once you are signed up.

I will let, everyone know how they respond to my account cancellation ticket.

        ....... Edit ........

Got a reply from ClickFunnels, both quick and courteous. It seems that they have the option to cancel your account tucked below the "Change Plan Option in Account Settings". at the bottom of the pricing schedule.

I wish they would have made this more clear to their clients. I believe it's mandatory to allow your customers to opt out as easily as it was to get into your plan.

Call me a cheapo, but I rather just make all the pages they offer myself in wordpress. It's really not that hard with all the tools available today.

I never understood how lead pages gets away with their monthly fee either. I know it is simple to use, but I don't find the current crop of page builders that hard to use in the slightest.

      Hey Cheapo!

You're not cheap just frugal. You are exactly right. Most all of this can be done using free WordPress themes and plugins. The main advantage is the time savings. As we all should be aware of, time is money. It may be a real deal for the team banging out offers everyday. Not so much for the average marketer that puts together a few deals a month.

What really concerns me most about this recent crop of high priced server side application providers is that you rely on them completely to maintain their service. Specially something like ClickFunnels which claims to be an all-in-one service. That you only need them and your autoresponder to do just about anything with your online marketing efforts.

So you can just imagine what would happen if their service goes down tomorrow, or they just disappear. I'm not suggesting that this is about to occur, but all things come to an end sooner or later and have glitches. That means your whole network built up around them goes dark.

        I agree with you totally.

The market seems to be thick with these web based 'sales funnel' platforms.

For me, I don't like to have the viability of my business in someone else's hands.

As you said, if they go down...disappear.... or whatever, so does your business. It's just too risky.

That's why I only like software applications I can actually own and manage myself.

Then it's only me to blame if something happens.

        You are 1000% correct.

Just about every software application that is being released these days, seems to be service/membership based.

You're granted use of the application for a monthly fee.....but you'll never own it.

Now, that's fantastic for the marketer offering the application, because he rakes in big $$ every month from you.

But if you opt out of paying them, the service stops, and your business suffers.

Personally, I want to own all the resources and tools that I use to run MY business with.

I'm not letting some faceless group of people hold the success of MY business in their hands. That's why I'll never use the likes of LeadPages, or any other like application.

Of course, that's not saying anything against the likes of Lead Pages, or Click Funnels, because they are great platforms and products.

And it has has nothing what so ever to do with the price of any of these services... for me, it's about peace of mind knowing I'm always in total control

I've been marketing and making money online for 12 years, and I've been caught out so many times when I trusted third party provided apps.and they shut down, went broke, or just disappeared.

          Nothing against paid services...

But that is why I have a coder and graphic artist on staff...and they both have a vested interest in our success together ....

It always intrigues me when there are questions about what are the best "landing pages" , "lead pages", Opt-in forms", "Pop-Ups" etc etc...

Once we see one that works and is good we either buy/support....

          ...or

          make something better/different in house.

Love Click Funnels, Lead Pages, Optimise Press and so many other great products out there....

          ...BUT...

          Love innovation better...

Use what you can and recognise quality development and if in doubt either look for alternative and make something better.

          You choose...

I had a problem with the recently released "Sales Funnel". I couldn't add any products to it. Support said it was a known bug which makes the system rather unworkable until that is fixed. Too bad as my free trial is about over and I won't sign up with that broken.

To be honest, the design look great but you can make same design with some plugins/themes like OptimizePress2.0, WP Profit Builder , Thrive Theme + Content Builder. However there more feature like AB split testing and etc in clickfunnels. Unless you have many product to sale and required a funnel, maybe you don't need it. Moreover, mostly people will opted $97/monthly package .. for me its bit expensive.. but you could use it for your own product that really convert. Maybe this will increase your ROI more.

I've been trying it out for a couple of days now, not really using it as I've also run into a problem with one of the templates, but I have to say I believe this will be a good product – and you can't really compare it to a site builder like Optimize Press or Thrive Content Builder.

It really is an integrated solution to build funnels: sales funnels, optin funnels, webinar funnels. Just as the name says. It is much closer to LeadPages than to the WordPress Plugins mentioned in this thread.

For example, my intention was to setup an autowebinar funnel:

    * Registration page
    * Thank You page
    * Webinar page
    * Replay page

There are many templates to choose from and you can customize every aspect of the pages. But the nice thing is, they are already linked together. So, if you set your auto responder code or choose a list in the registration page, the system knows that after signup, the lead should, of course, see the thank you page. You don't have to set the redirect in the auto responder code.

And although it integrates with all auto responders, the system can also send emails via its own smtp setup. That's how you can automatically message the webinar participants before and after the training and even different messages if they left early and didn't get to see the offer.

It really is quite sophisticated and although I am sure, you can replicate the whole thing with your standard set of tools, this really is easy and fast. And it is all in one place.

For the skeptics who fear that the service might cease to exist at some point, I don't really see the problem. Just point your links to a new funnel – either directly on your site or with another company. Plus I've always found that my pages which were hosted at LeadPages.net where much faster than my own site.

So all in all, this really is a good product or will be a good product, when everything works like it should. It has been beta testing for a while but my feeling is that it's not quite there yet to warrant the price tag and I will cancel my trial now as well. They should really extend the trial until everything works 100% but perhaps the majority of users have no troubles with the service.

    Hi,

    I'd like to chime in.

I'm really enjoying ClickFunnels. It's really a great development and makes everything really easy. It has some great features and integrations that I like a lot.

ClickFunnels is a really easy to use program that isn't too complex after you play with it for a couple hours, but it lacks depth.

The price is way too high at the moment I agree with those above. I'm currently on the $97 plan because they force you to have that if you want a membership site. And that's the main reason I like ClickFunnels, is because of their membership site powers.

But do the funnels have $500 upsells on the back end? $1000? $5000? I want a funnel with big back ends. Do they do that? What types of products do they sell?

You get to create products and integrate them with paypal, stripe, infusionsoft, and other platforms so you can create big funnels like that if you like.

They don't sell products. It's a platform for building funnels, webinars, and membership sites.

      Really?

That's interesting to hear from a user with direct negative experience.

Yep same here. That's why I own things like Rapid Mailer, Thrive Content Builder, Paint Shop Pro, and other tools. No way am I letting anyone mess with my business. Finding a reliable host is key, but unless you want to be a total geek, there's really no way around that particular monthly bill. But pay monthly for tools? No Way.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[9957423].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author Ethiccash
Well, at the end you're still paying your monthly hosting bills and you 100% rely on those. That's exactly the same. You can argue they have backups, but these hosted SaaS also have backups. Why would ClickFunnels or any other SaaS will close down instead of some random hosting companies who do not even operate the servers themselves. So if the idea is to be in full control 100%, then, the only way is to buy your own server, create your own hosting setup, add all the securities and use your own or licenses softwares. But then you need team to do it for you and manage it for you instead of focusing on making money.

Lol get over your poverty mind sets people. I'm HAPPY to pay LeadPages what I do because not only do they make things simple for me, they also HOST the pages, which, when you run a ton of traffic as I do actually saves me money in the end by reducing my server load and hosting fees.

If you're not willing to spend money on tools (including monthly subscription services) then you don't have a business- you have a hobby.

Click funnels itself may be flawed in design, but other services just like it are an absolute BARGAIN for anyone serious about their business.

I'd rather pay a monthly fee for a well supported tool than pay a one-off price for a software tool that isn't updated.

How many WSO's have you bought that seemed a bargain at the time, but are now obsolete or broken... the marketer long since having moved on to his next 'shiny object' product launch?

No tools are completely bug-free, but ClickFunnels is still a very new platform, and in my experience as a user, bugs are generally fixed quickly, and they are committed to providing excellent support and are adding new features on a weekly basis.

For marketers who can justify having a coder and graphic artist on staff, good on you, but for the majority of marketers, paying $100-$300 month for ClickFunnels is a more cost effective and viable option. As to having a vested interest in your success, a monthly service absolutely does, because they're keenly aware that customers will not stay with them if they are not providing value.

The fact that many reputable big name marketers like Rich Schefren and funnel expert Todd Brown are now using ClickFunnels for their own marketing funnels says something to me.

If you've got a "sucky" product then no funnel builder is going to turn that around.

Click Funnels is only going to speed up your success if you have something people desire.

It's an efficient tool to use if you are proactive and have products to sell otherwise don't bother because if you have nothing to sell then you will never recoup the outlay.

Pricing and costs are purely relative to what your ability to generate returns is.

Just as Infusion, Bounce Exchange...and others...know what their solutions are worth...so does CF.

Build something and sell it and then when you understand how to profit from that decide whether $37, $97, $297 monthly is expensive....

...if you buy a coffee for $5 a day that's over $150 per month..

        ...is that "Super Amazing" ?

It's probably just me, but I am failing to see myself paying $97 a month ($1200 a year) for few HTML pages that I can create myself in a couple hours and host them on cloud server for $5-$10 a month.

While retaining full control over every aspect of it.

And if you cannot create them yourself, then buy similar templates for one time fee (about $10 or $20 a piece) and use.

Same goes for the integrations, sure takes few hours to write and test PayPal or credit card integration, but once it done you have it for the rest of your life.

Again if you cannot create this yourself, order it from somebody who can and have them as your own for good.

Same goes for the integrations, sure takes few hours to write and test PayPal or credit card integration, but once it done you have it for the rest of your life.

Again if you cannot create this yourself, order it from somebody who can and have them as your own for good.
Agreed. You can save lot of money. Your talking $1200 yearly compare to $200-$400 include everything (premium themes/plugin)

I tried it and it's pretty good for building funnels however I couldn't justify 97 to 297 per month for sales pages that be created on my own or even a one time fee if you pay someone else to make them

For me in general, I'm totally over all the SAAS software apps. that seem to be hitting the market these days

I mean in so many cases, your whole business can be dependent on 'third' party' apps, and if anything happens to one, your whole business is impacted.

Plus, the on-going monthly charges for these apps. really start to add up.

I was close but something really bugged me.

In the sales video he highlights a company who used it to great effect.

However, when I went to their site, they no longer used it and were using Clickbank.

I asked about this to their customer support and to Russel directlyon FB in a post he was commenting on and he , to be fair answered other questions I had but ignored that issue entirely.

    That sent alarm bells ringing.

    So I pulled the plug.

I've been using CF for around 8 months now and it is easy to use but expensive. I've gotten some affiliates for it now so that cost isn't as high for me (50% affiliate commissions for everyone who signs up) for me.. I think the beauty of CF is that it's an all in one tool with everything integrated - membership sites, hosting, sales pages, paypal integrations and all else easy for beginners to pick up..

And the other thing is being an affiliate for it.. this is something that's recurring sales and much like being an affiliate for hosting services.. once folks have sales pages and funnels setup they're likely to stay with this service for longer.. so the more you sell the more stable monthly income you can have coming in.. sort of like another stable business.

Honestly a funnel is just a series of web pages interlinked. You can do this with Thrive, Profit Builder or any other builder. No need for $97 a month in my eyes.

Glad to hear these reviews. I just went through a webinar with Russel Brunson and even though I really like his teachings and concepts, I did not buy into Click Funnels or his training "Funnel Hacks" for the same reasons:

    1. Using 1 company/software platform for ever aspect of your business to me is not wise. From hosting, to page creation (including the graphics which you don't have control of, to affiliate software, to membership software, to autoresponders, if that 1 software suddenly has problems, your entire business is down.

I did this when first getting started. I had a membership to SBI (site build it) and eventually, I ended up cancelling and moving all my stuff to my current host. It was very difficult to do, because SBI even registered the domain for you. Try changing registrars. It's not so easy.

    2. You can get everything done for a lot less money than claimed in Russel's sales videos/webinars (23K for a sales funnel? Really?) then you own it - no monthly fees.

Agreed. Probably you could consider this when your want to automate your business later on. For starter, I don't think you need Clickfunnel yet since you don't have your own product. Use plugin like Instabuilder, ThriveThemes and Optimizpress to build pretty salespage.
