a bad experience with Arpreach

I bought Arpreach mailing software to use it to send mails to my subscribers

the system full of bugs in importing contacts, searching for contacts and in sending mails to large number

the support is very bad and evrything they said "it is because of your server" although i'm using Hostgator

at last they refered me to programer to pay him 49$ to get support!!!! although i bought the software 4 months ago and i supposed to get 1 year of support

very bad experience and i think i will get back to any paid service like getresponse or awber

it will be much more expensive but it is better than wasting time and money in such softwares

arpReach is a very powerful self-hosted autoresponder, but it does require adequate hosting. Hostgator is anything but adequate. You can't really blame arpReach if you are trying to use it on hosting that just isn't up to the job - after all, the arpReach developers do recommend several hosting companies that their software will work perfectly fine with.

I have been using arpReach (in combination with Mandrill) on D9 Hosting for a long time and have had no problems with it at all.

What hosting plan do you use with D9? VPS or dedicated?

      Thank you.

I bought it when it was first released and spent days, weeks and maybe even months with it before I gave up - If my memory serves me correct then support was very slow and not helpful.

Current Arp reach users have formed a Facebook group to help each other and I guess this is because the Arp Reach support is so bad.

I don't think arp reach has been updated since July 2013 -

The Arp reach blog makes notes to a Multi Threaded update - The post was made in April this year arpReach - autoresponder and email marketing software but take a look at this screenshot I just got from the Facebook group - it shows the same multi threaded notes made in October 2013 (It's been over a year)

I have since gone with Interspire but it's too early to give any feedback on them.

I am currently testing out MailWizz. Super feature rich but a bit complicated. On a 80 a month DigitalOcean VPS.

P.S. HostGator Shared hosting = Not good for self hosted AR

      Hi Martin,
What you average monthly cost using ArpReach. Just want to get rough estimation. Thanks

    thnx for your reply
First: Arpreach the one who recomended using Hostgator!!!!!
second: it is not logic that all this bugs because of hosting, when u try to import 50 users to your list and you spend one day and you see that alot of people complain about the same issue on their forum and no reply from theit support, it is a problem
fourth: where is the support?, if you pay 50$ for some one else to give you a one time support

I know quite a few who use Arpreach and first thing you need is strong hosting.

Ditch HG for a decent host and see how things go.

I would give a try if they have decent support but it is not logic to pay 50$ evrytime the script has a bug

First, I would never recommend using shared hosting for ARPReach or any other mailing software. That's asking for trouble and like it or not, no matter what shared hosting companies may claim, you don't have the same resources you would have on a dedicated box. You should also do an IP check to see how many other sites are on that IP. All of this affects how well scripts run.

Second, I agree about ARP support. It's pretty non-existent. Even back when it was ARP3 (I used this then too).

Third, I have ARP Reach and imported some 5000 contacts with NO issues. I can search and filter with no issues. I can mail with no issues. All of the features that I use have been bug free.

It sounds less like bugs and more like lack of server resources due to being on a shared server. Don't discount that as a potential problem. I have had WP blogs give me fits on a shared hosting site that ran error free on my dedicated box.

Finally, as someone who used to have a script installation business (and even used to install ARP3), I have found that a large percentage of script issues were from either the end user who installed it, or the server it was hosted on.

In the end though, if you are someone who depends on support of a script, ARP Reach may not be for you.

Yup ahmeds14! I agree with you. Same here.

Aweful experience with arpReach. Terrible support. Slow. Not helpful. Me and my tech guy wasted 2 months trying to figure it out.

Now it's bugged and won't send any emails out. ArpReach suppot is clueless as to why. Of course, they won't refund.

I've since moved to Oempro. Been using them for a year. Like them very much.

Looking at the support logs, outside of weekends, all tickets get a reply within 24 hours. I think the support provided by the team for arpReach software is really good, over 97% of all tickets are resolved within 24 hours.

With very few exceptions, the majority of issues that come through the arpReach helpdesk are caused by server issues and not the software. arpReach do not provide server support, when you have server issues you should get the help and assistance of your hosting company.
