Default Houston Area Warriors?

Calling All Houston Area Warriors

I'd like to propose an initial and informal get-together of any and all Warriors in the Houston area.

If you're up for it, we could all meet some place and introduce ourselves.

Maybe it will just be a lot of fun.

Maybe it will lead to some amazing opportunities for us to work together, create a local Master Mind group, or .... ?

Who knows? But from where I sit, it's certainly worth taking a little time to find out.

Anyone up for it?

Post here if you are and we'll figure out a way to pick a time and place.

I'm in, as usual. I wish you luck because I've tried this several times and the only one that comes through is Marc Quarles, as usual. We can always count on Marc.

Us Texans are sure an independent bunch!

But hey... if we get a few folks together and really connect, anything is possible!

And hey ... we can't let those WEIRD people from Austin beat us, can we?!?

(Honestly ... if Austin were closer, I'd drive there. I love that town. I caught Mark Ryan and Joe Vitale there a few months ago and had a GREAT time.)

C'mon Houston Warriors ... let's get together and do something amazing!

Hey Brian,
I'm in as well. I live in the N.E. section (Kingwood).

You're all welcome to have it at my place. I just have to check with my "boss" first (LOL).
Bruce can vouch for me and I promise not to hog all the snacks or drinks.

I'd be interested and I'm in Kingwood too.

I've also got a couple of other guys who are into IM and we just formed a mastermind group. They might be interested in coming.

And if Kingwood doesn't work, I've got a studio downtown that we could use.

With the impending hurricane, I'm betting this thread is going to go cold for a bit but I'm definitely up for getting together with some local Warriors.

The downtown studio sounds interesting!

I'm not wishing ill on anyone but it keeps drifting east and every bit is good for me.

As for Kingwood, I'd prefer we get a group first then pick a spot based on our distribution. I'm in the Katy area.

I'll chime in! I'm located in the Spring/Woodlands area also and would love to get together with people of a shared interest.

Who would have thought the Woodlands would be in the path of a hurricane? Just hours to wait and see!

I think it going to get to Dallas. Seriously, maps say it will still have over 75 MPH winds after it has passed Woodlands and Kingwood.

I'm hoping it moves further east too. It is always better to be on the west side of a hurricane.

Looks like there are a lot of people on the north side of town. I'm sure we can do some kind of get together.

I lived near the Woodlands during Hurricane Alicia. A tree came crashing through my livingroom - rudely interrupting my nap on the couch. Be careful if you have any trees near your house.

Yeah.. those hurricanes can be downright rude at times!

The news is certainly pointing to it moving through here with some strength.

We've been putting all the lawn furniture away, locking down the hot tub, etc.... And there is a big tree in the back yard that makes me nervous.

We're "hunkered down" here in Conroe.

And STILL making money while all of this going on.

Gotta love this Internet Marketing stuff!

Clearly, Ike has thrown a wrench in to our plans for getting together.

Our neighborhood (like so many others) is without power and may be this way for weeks to come.

My family and I temporarily are in the Dallas area. I can run the business remotely so that's no problem. Just waiting out the utility and phone repairs and taking things a day at a time.

Having some great reconnect time with the kids!

We'll have plenty to clean up and repair at home when we return, of course.

How are other Houston area Warriors faring in the aftermath of Ike?

No damage but I'm still without power. I'm running my house on 2 extension cords from a neighbor's home. Thank God it's cool outside or I'd be in a hotel somewhere.

Patience is running thin as my home and 26 others in my neighborhood are the only ones without power anywhere in the area.

Got my power restored last night around 7PM.

Lost half a tree, but everyone made it out alive.
I was fortunate enough to have a generator running for power, but it broke Friday night.
Had to drop down $800 on a new one Saturday morning, then was able to use my idle time on Saturday repairing the old generator.

This was probably the first time since the beginnings of the Internet that I wasn't online for more than a couple of days. Even when I go on vacation, I make sure I'm set up in the hotel.

I hate to say it here (especially to some of you full-time IMers), but I didn't really miss it that much. Too busy focusing on cooking outside and keeping my tanks full. LOL!

Looking forward to meeting you fine folks.

BTW Brian - My company is installing a new fire alarm system near the Woodlands Mall @ 20 Waterway. Beautiful place, that Woodlands Shopping Mall.

We actually have a mastermind group now that meets every 2 or 3 weeks barring hurricanes. Looks like our next meeting is going to be Sunday Nov 29 at 4PM.

PM me and I'll give you a pointer to the groups email list.

I grew up in SE Houston right around Hobby Airport. Ended up in Humble during my High School Years and attended Aldine Nimitz HS. I sure do miss it there! I know this doesn't go with the theme of the OP...but I just had to say HI.

There is a group in the Houston area that gets together from time to time. I've been unable to make any of the meets, so far. Once, one of my boys sprained his ankle and the other time, I was in a rehearsal for a Christmas show.

Not sure when their next get together is but I'm really wanting to start getting to some of these meetings.

I was wondering if you where interested in getting started with off line cash cow. I was looking for someone to help me get started and partner together. I am easy to work with and looking to build an off line consulting business.

Thanks Dee

Sweet, this is what I've been looking for. Hanging out with like minded folks from my area. I'm a noobie so I don't know a lot about the business but I'd love to learn.

NorthEast side of Houston in Humble, Texas.

I live near downtown, I get a nosebleed anytime I go outside the loop

Farthest I've been in eight months is Frys on 45. (I got over it.)

In any event, I'd be interested in meeting up with some warriors.

Maybe we could all set up a skype chat, text or voice soon.

We've been drifting here for 5 months.

I propose 11 a.m. on next Saturday Mar 14
