I'm up for it! I know some warriors were trying to get a meeting set up last year, but it never materialized. I know there's a bunch of Warriors in Michigan. Let's try and pick a more centrally located spot (maybe Pontiac, Lansing, Livonia or another location that "most" people would have less than an hour's drive) and come up with and agenda and make it happen!

What would you propose the agenda be about? I've got my own ideas.

If it's allowed, we should put a post on the main forum announcing the group to get more interest. We've got to build some buzz around this!

BTW, Traverse City is the kewlest city in the state. I vacation there now, but would live there in a second.

I'm interested. I'm closer between Jackson and Lansing area. I make it up north T.C. way maybe 1-2 x a year is all and over to the east side maybe 1-2x a yr as well.

I like your idea about centralized location. Pontiac and Livonia are fine with me.

I think once we get some people interested, we can get an agenda going with no problem. IM world is full of agendas We just need to make sure to structure it so it goes, close to being flawless. In the end, it will benefit all of us.

I know Allen said we can set a date on the calendar he has here in the WF. That should help us get going. Also, I don't think there'll be any problem posting it in the Main Discussion area.

Let's keep it going.

Where's James Grandstaff? I know he lives in SE Michigan. Also, I know Jeff Johnson lives here in Michigan.

csstanton - I'd be good with Monday, but I think it's short notice for most warriors. I also think we need a solid agenda to make the time well-spent. Love your take action approach though!

I also think we need people to step up and 1) identify a place to meet, 2) coordinate a date/time that is good for most, 3) help with the agenda, and 4) help communicate plans to the group. Any takers?

I may have a line on a somewhat private room (holds up to 25) in a restaurant in Waterford (immed. NW of Pontiac) that would likely be free if that location is good for most Warriors. Just a thought.

Anyone have an idea how we can collaborate on this? I'm thinking Goggle Docs might be the answer for sharing/developing an agenda, maps, presentations, Bio's, etc. What'ya think?

Everyone interested in this Mastermind group should consider modifying their signature on WF to look similar to mine. I've already got a couple additional people interested through my signature.

Before we get too close to the holidays, We're going to get this group going. I'll PM everyone that has stated an interest and nail down a date/time/location/agenda/etc.

I know that Mark was talking about a possible location. I guess we can have 2 locations we could look at for our mastermind. That is very generous of you Sandy.

Where do we stand? I think that before we go out and have an actual meeting for the mastermind, we should collaborate in one common online area (maybe create a group or something along those lines) and figure out what we want to accomplish out of the meeting.

This way, we will have a firm handle on the meeting and not waste anyone's time during the actual meeting. What do you think?

Hot seats are always education for everyone.

Here's what I think we should do for the agenda:

1. Intro - Everyone introduces themselves, their niches, and where they are at in internet marketing. Also, each person should tell what they hope to get out of the mastermind. What are their biggest problems?

Each person can speak for about 3 minutes or so. If we have 10 people, that's 1/2 hour.

2. I think we should set up a central area where people can add their data, questions, etc. How about we setup something using basecamp? If we set something up, people can post their questions on there. Then if someone knows of an solution, they'll be ready to discuss it at the meeting.

3. Next, we can tackle certain areas:
driving traffic
conversions
copy
growing business
outsourcing, etc.

4. Wrap up. What did we get out of the meeting? What kind of action will you take? What should we do for the next meeting? When can we do the next meeting?

I think if we go into that, the meeting will go for at least few hours. What do you guys think?

My original location requires 15 or more people to reserve it and I don't think we're going to get that large (1st meeting anyway). How many can your office hold? Can we set up a projector, bring in food?

I'm working on another location today that might just work as well.

I'm working on an agenda on writeboard.com. Do you guys have an idea of a better place to store the agenda, map, notes, files, etc? I was thinking Google Documents might work. Or, if this has got legs, I could set up a forum after the meeting for this stuff. Let me know.

I've never used writeboard.com It looks interesting and has possibilities.

Google documents is cool because its free and pretty universal.

I think we just need to get the basic agenda down and get the meeting rolling. Then we can discuss future possibilities of utilizing a forum or what not.

What I think we need to do first is setup some kind of a free account where everyone will be notified of a new message/email.

WF is cool but I don't think many people come back to this thread to check up on what's going on.

I might have another guy coming as well.

I wanted to let everyone know that I've PMd everyone on this thread asking for email addresses. So, if you're following the thread, please respond. I have eight addresses so far, but many more are on this thread. We don't want to miss anyone.

Peter and I are finalizing the agenda in the next 24 hours or so.

This thing has really taken off! We've got around 9-10 firm commitments (and more still coming in), a great agenda, a very nice meeting location, and willing Warriors. We've got Warriors from Traverse City, SW Michigan, and even Ohio attending!
