Well, I got there at 1:20, Grabbed a seat at the bar at 1:40, Figured I'd have a tall cold one while I waited, Finished the tall cold one at 2:05 and left.

Had to have the tall cold one so, it wasn't a total waste of time.

Hey Al - just saw your post. I had transportation issues and didn't get there until about 2:30. The others were already at a table but I'm not sure when they got there. Sorry you missed us.

Hey Al...Yeah sorry we missed you.

I was there at about 1:40 and asked the person at the hostess stand if there were other marketers there. She seemed to be rather clueless.

There were only four of us, but we had a great time.

Katherine, Mike and Ron...very nice meeting you in person.

Charles

At least quarterly; maybe bimonthly. I'd be willing to meet monthly but I know that's a lot for most people.

Charles I saw you. You looked right at me. At first I thought it might be you but, then I saw your family follow in and figured just another family coming in. Your kids had matching jackets if I remember correctly. I was tired and I guess walking up to total strangers and asking if they are Warriors didn't seem like a good idea.

I asked the hostess and yes she had no idea what I was talking about. I looked around and it looked like all families so, grabbed a seat at the end of the bar where I could watch through the windows. Guess I figured I was early and therefore the first, guess I was wrong.

The hostess was a kid so, I guess being clueless fits. I wish she would of had a clue rather than just a sort of no idea stare.

Oh well, life goes on. I did enjoy the beer.

I would like to get an idea of how it went.

Hey All,

Nice to see people trying to get together.

Don't be discouraged by the attendance. My first one had 10, then the second one 4. But the third had 36, the fourth had over 50 and our last one we held on Long Island and we had between 20 and 30.

Committing to a monthly meeting with people from all over is difficult. My suggestion is to meet in person 2 to 4 times per year and then do monthly or even weekly on line masterminds. These can be very effective.

If you do another one, let me know. I'll try to get down there. Been trying to get together with Brian now for a while anyway. Plus, I will make sure he comes.

Al, sounds like you may have been looking at the wrong group of people. According to the bartender, I missed you by about 5 minutes. I waited about 30 minutes and then went to leave. That's when one of the hostess asked me if I was looking for someone and mentioned that they had put everyone at a table in the back of the restaurant.

It was a completely different group of people than the table that I thought might be Warriors.

Overall, it was pretty good for a first-time get together. I had trouble finding the place or else I would have gotten there sooner.

Quarterly would be doable for me. Monthly would not.

Meetings like this, I always say the more the merrier.

Take care,

Mike

I am definitely game for that. I think its a good idea to set a standard time that people can plan around. As far as emailing, we could just exchange emails and set up a list privately.

I'm interested in meeting up -- I'm in S. NJ. Got some info to share and more to learn. I'll meet one-on-one at a Starbucks if we can help one another out - let's make some $$$!

Just a quick FYI to everyone in this thread.

The local offline marketing group I belong to has arranged to get Dan Kennedy to agree to speak to our members on March 12th.

If you're interested in attending this meeting, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the details. There's a nominal fee of $20 to attend (the group's fee, not mine).

Hey, anyone still holding meetings in this area??? I see the last post was in Jan. '09 but nothing since. I'm in Malvern, PA (about 20 miles west of Phila.) and would be very interested in attending a local group.
Any updates on this?
Sorry, just noticed last posts were in Apr. '09 but still would like to keep up with any future meetings.

Did the end of July meeting happen? Is there a group? Brian, you and I were both in Joel Comm's contest together two summers ago. I'd love to meet in person.

Just got an email about this new Philly area meetup from someone in StomperNet. Membership in StomperNet isn't required.

Pennsylvania Stompers (King of Prussia, PA) - Meetup.com

I'm going to try to make it to the meeting on 9/24 but have to shift some things around schedule-wise first.

The PA Stompers meet every month in the K of Prussia area. See the link I posted above for more info.
