Hi guys, This really goes out to UK IMers, in particular London based IMers. You know the problem we all face is: being married to that damn internet for all those long hours. Yes u know wa I am talking about here. For the last few weeks, I have been putting long hours in front the pc. Motivation which is the key to online success is begining to waver. When u r alone and in front of that pc for long, that does usually become the issue. So what I feel I am missing here and am sure all you guys who are in the same predicament is some social interaction with likeminded people meaning fellow IMers. It would be great to rub shoulders and bounce ideas off each other, say once a week in a great location somewhere say in central london. I am very open to the idea of meeting fellow IMers once a week for a good IM huddle where we can break the monotomy of sitting in front of pc alone and share ideas/experiences/create JVs with each other. I can see that definitely being beneficial for your IM career. So this will kind be both a mastermind session and also networking sessions. You could put it down as a social event with like minded people also. So all u london based IMers, if u r up for this kind of event as mentioned, let me know. Then we can move forward. I just think there comes a time when one has to be in an environment where there is personal interaction and discussion. Who knows what you may learn, share and possible profitable JVs you may create. |

Hey max long time, good to see you, Eddington here. Smak this is a cool idea, it's always great to hook up and find what's working for others and share some tips and techniques and JV. None of us is better than all of us! There are times one feels like just having a chat with proper like minded people, not just any other business minded people, which you can't get from social networks. Having said that, in as much as this sounds great, us being us (human beings) I still feel coming out may still be an issue for many of us due to a wide array of reasons. It's all good to feel good about the idea but only to find it still won't take off. I am not trying to be negative here guys, in fact far from it, but I know there are so many other similar platforms which find it very difficult to get people. The other way which I feel could be effective for that sort thing is teleseminars, maybe build it from that and incoorperate live meetings once in a while? Just an idea. |

Hi again guys, Samk, if you look in my sig file, you will see I have taken it a step further, I dropped everything I was gonna do today and gave this priority as I felt someone has to take responsibility or else we will be talking backwards and forth here. So you will see I have created a capture page intended for those who have shown interest in getting together. So since you came up with the idea Smak, I have done my bit, we can work together to get it off the ground, I did a capture page soley for this purpose so we can have an organised list for updating the rest of the group members. Please I want you to know I am not doing this to promote anything to you and of course you know you can subscribe at anytime if you don't want to be a group member anymore. I hope everyone is seeing the value in this. So go to my sig file and sign up, I couldn't put the link here as I din't know what the moderators would think about it. Once we have a good number, I will then schedule a teleseminar so we can get together on the phone and brainstorm a little. Look forward to hearing from you. Signing out, Eddington. |

Hi That's great feedback from u. Teleseminars?? that is fine too but my idea really was just to get away toally from the computer and have an actual offline meetup, preferably in central london location (maybe in a cool bar or something). I mean face-to-face where u can a bit of socializing, bit of IM trade chat, bit of JV's, bit of everything really all at releaxed easy pace. This could be once a week event or once every 2 weeks. Only for couple of hours each session. All this need not be formal but very casual and relaxed. Just like a normal evening out except u r mingling with the right crowd and networking. |

To be honest guys, there are a couple of threads that cover London meets, as well as Martin Avis's http:\\london-lunch.com I think that if we have yet another meeting group, everybodies effort will be diluted. IMHO, you should attend those first, make contacts, and start special interest groups over time. That way, you don't spread yourselves too thin, and you'll have a better chance of success. Just my Tuppence worth. Glenn |

Smak, teleseminars are only an addition as you know we won't be able to make it to the offline at all times, I think it will still be nice to be able to talk in real time on a teleseminar? But I don't think people are serious about this though, not a soul has registered so far, maybe just like Glenn is saying we might as well join the ones that are already active, with intent to start more localised special interest groups over time. |
