Just moved to Orlando and would love to meet and share ideas. I am fairly new to IM, started in Feb/09...
But I was definitely bitten by the bug, and now I eat, sleep and eat some more Internet Marketing.
As much as I love Warrior Forum is difficult to arrange a meeting here. You will see people pop in here from month to month and sometimes is difficult to get these meetings going. I tried to open a community at meetup .com but you have to pay. And why pay when you can do things for free? I just started a community at facebook:

Hey all,

Here's the deal ... I'll be setting a date here soon, and if people show, they show, if they don't, they don't. Most people on this forum wouldn't get off their asses to help themselves if they were on fire so I'm not going to beg and plead with anyone, and I'm not going to be taking "suggestions" on the schedule or location this time around.

Once you show up for a few meetings in a row, I'll take your opinion into consideration... but until you've proven you're really ready to show up, and actually do show up, it's just too bad.

And yes, that means I just appointed myself the leader of the group for now... someone has to run the show, or nothing will ever get started.

It's too far, it's too late, it's too early, I'm not sure ... blah, Blah BLAH, Blah, blah! Stop the excuses already... I just flew out to Boise for a 2 day mastermind, and that's not exactly local.

I'll be setting something up for a mid-week, at night, in the EAST Orlando area likely in the first week of November, maybe the 2nd week. (VERY LIKELY THE FIRST WEEK) I'll be there with at least one of my two lead developers, and I've been in IM for more than 13 years, host my own events, etc, etc, etc. I know my stuff...

Location will be near the UCF area... Bastide, get in your car and drive out you lazy bastard. Ross Goldberg drove up from south FL, you can drive from Kissimmee.

If you're in, post here... but don't say you're in and then not show up unless you're dead, bleeding to death, or a family member is dead. So basically, if you're in ... the only legitimate excuse for not showing up is death.

Commit to something, and follow through... (hint: that helps you become a hell of a lot more successful)

Looking for 3-5 people for serious Masterminding anywhere near Kissimmee. I am not an expert at all so I'm looking for beginner to intermediate marketers that can help each other with ideas, support and accountability We'll meet twice a month for coffee and in 45 minutes should report on success, barriers and then let the group brainstorm solutions a for a few minutes. I'm in Clermont, which is in southern Lake county. I'm not too far from where Brad Spencer lives. (Just 1 town in between) I'd like to meet up with some like-minded folks and get some masterminding going on. My J.O.B. (just over broke) is in the hospitality industry, so my schedule can be a bit hard to work around (Usually it's 12:00 - 20:30, but it can vary). I have a lot of varied interests and skills, but I need to meet some people to collaborate with. Maybe we can fill in some skill gaps for each other. I'm usually off on Fridays and Saturdays. (Of course, I'm usually working on my IM efforts those days.) I can't PM yet, so posting here is probably best. I'm subscribing to this thread. Hope to meet some of you soon.

I have considered every request for our first location and I have chosen a coffee shop close to Downtown Orlando. Keep in mind that during our first meeting well decide where and when our next meetings will be. They can rotate every month or go back and forth between just two locations east /west of downtown and rotate that way. We’ll have an agenda for the meeting which I will send in the next few days. SO……

I know it seems far removed but I think it’s better to allow people with a busy calendar time to move stuff around so they can attend. Also I’m toying with the idea to give people some small tasks to complete before the meeting in order to be effective and efficient.

Maybe the next meetup could be in Clermont or Winter Garden? Or if a group wants to get together before the September 17th meetup, I would be open to that, depending on when it is. I'm willing to drive - I live in Orlando, but I realize that people are scattered all over central Florida.
