Local Event: Any Warriors Want to Meet in Portland, Oregon/ Vancouver, Washington area?

I'm a long time Internet marketer and business owner. Would like to meet with other Warriors to share and commiserate! As you no doubt know the Internet biz can be isolating and meeting others with "like-minds" can benefit us all! You don't have to give away any secrets. There is lots to share such as which gurus, ebooks, software, etc., we like, events coming to town-- (never now!)-- maybe we can change that and many other ideas. I have a few of my own tips to share etc. I've spoken at entrepreneurial events in the past and I know offline marketing too! Lets make it simple. I can arrange a 1PM meeting at a central location - probably restaurant but eating not necessary. We can stay as long as we want. If the time doesn't fit let me know.

I do tech support until 2pm in Tualatin and live in West Linn so late afternoon or evenings are usually best.

My schedule is very busy right now with some things in the works, but I would be open to meeting up with some people locally who already know what they're doing (at least somewhat) when it comes to internet marketing.

I would be willing to swap some ideas but I don't want to waste my time as I'm already extremely busy, so I would only be interested if the group had some real insight to bring to the table. But stating that, I would be open to meeting up with some like-minded internet marketers.

For those on the the South Metro PDX side or those willing to travel, a small group has been intermittently meeting at the Starbucks across the parking lot from Best Buy on Nyberg in Tualatin Wednesdays at 3pm. Hopefully we will get big enough that we will need to find another space! I have Cash in a Flash, I don't know how many other programs and a hard drive full of content, but need people to talk to, bounce ideas with and set deadlines as I transition away from a paid job. (it's moving to Salem sometime this year and I am not going to commute!) We haven't met for about a month so its time to get it going again. Don't worry about RSVPing. Just show up!

Good luck on getting anyone to meet or respond here in the rainy city. In the five plus years that I've been trying to get a regular meeting going I've had no luck.

But if you want to meet and can get any other internet marketer interested I'd be interested in meeting.

Seems kind of puzzling, STRANGE actually! Is it because everyone is afraid of sharing their secrets or because they HAVE no secrets? Seems like a tremendous idea to me. I am also interested as well. Close to Haggen's also... Will be checking back here.

Ok, I've talked with a few people and it looks like we have some interested parties. I know it's the holiday season and it might not work for everyone, but the next best date that I've been able to gather would be this coming Tuesday, December 28th, 2010. I've thrown out a few locations and the one that seems to be a good fit for those interested is listed below.

I hope some of you will be able to make it. It would be nice to meet a few people in the Portland area that are on the forums. Let me state at the beginning, that this is an informal meeting. It's for both newcomers to IM and those who are old-hat's. The goal of this gathering is to give us an opportunity to see that we're not alone, share ideas and get excited and energized by each other.

We were somewhat successful last night. Had 3 of us show up and got to do some introductions. It would be nice to have a few more people show up next time around. I'll give it a few weeks and we'll try again.

One thing I did learn from the experience. Make sure you schedule the meeting at a place that actually has free wifi! So next go around, I'll scope out a better place in the general area.

I'm looking at having the next get together on January 24th. I haven't found a location yet, and if anyone has any suggestions feel free. Last location doesn't have wifi, not that we need it, but I thought it would be beneficial. I'd like to keep the meeting location around the Washington Square/Murray area if possible.
