Default Physical Product Shopping Cart Group Melbourne

Gday all

************************************************** ******
I have tried unsuccessfully several times to arrange a meet up in Melbourne. Im determined to make it happen this time. Im not sure if the failures where because im too lazy, lack of time or whatever other excuse I had at the time or because we are all a bunch of slack aussies compared to the philipino's, indians & yanks but in either case this time IT WILL HAPPEN.
************************************************** ******

This meet up is for people involved in the selling and distribution physical products only / shopping cart area of internet marketing.

Id personally prefer to have the meet up in the South Eastern suburbs as that is where I am based currently, but depending on our numbers and where people are located we will obviously have to work out a balance and the city would be ideal too.

I am visualizing a small group of no more than 10 people. In a quiet environment where we have utilities and easy access to beverages/food.

My aim is to hold the meet up before the silly season starts. I will place two names down already, myself and a good friend of mine called Stefan who runs an online water pumps store.

In order to weed out people who are not entirely serious please reply here in this very thread with a very brief bio of yourself, current online activities, experience and anything else you would like to share.

A little about me: Ive been involved in internet marketing, blogging, bum marketing and all the rest for about six years. Ive had a few small successful ventures and many... many failures, which I thank my lucky stars for because ive learnt a great deal from those failures. Other than that im 26 years old, I work full time, have a beautiful young family + a cool dog named Oskar and In my current online activities I run a review blog which ive recently made some massive changes to and obviously I have my sights set on real physical product sales in the 'pet industry'

Lets get some numbers in this thread and then we can decide on a time, date and place.

Ill be monitoring this thread and will keep everyone posted.

If you are genuinely interested please PM me your email and or contact number.

-Andrei

What a surprise, no responses from Melbournians.

Look guys, if your serious about making money online and you are either selling a physical product via an ecommerce site, are using ebay or whatever else, its these little meet ups that get you going, that push you in the right direction.

These meets not only give you the motivation you need to get going but they help with networking and provide solutions to your problems. Just think about it... you will be in a group of like minded people who have either already done what you want to do or are just about to, for all you know these people might be doing the exact thing taht you are striving to do (working from home and having control of their lives and their finances). Those experiences are worth gold... and look at the price of gold at the moment heh

Im having this meetup either way.

It just saddens me that we see all these "Help Me" threads and yet when opportunities like these are offered and put onto the table no one gets off their butts and takes action!

Think about all the most powerful and successful people and organizations on planet earth. They all have some sort of in group, committee, lobby of faction that they belong to.

In a way i think its great that the slackers have not replied because we only want serious people to attend these meetings.

Serious people reply below.

Based in Melbourne, I don't sell physical products though.

Perhaps this is why you're getting minimal response.. your scope of discussion is rather finite.

John

Yes, that right. It is finite. Selling a physical product is very different from selling digital products.

No offence Andrei, but I agree with JohnnyC123, narrow scope of vision. I've partnered with other internet marketers, each with varying skills, and each bringing something to the table. Those who specialise in onsite/offsite SEO, social media, website and banner design. It's amazing what you can learn, what you can accomplish, and how fast you can accomplish it.

I run a couple of successful eCommerce sites, but I'm struggling to see how this would benefit me. And not to sound too harsh mate, but with such a limited vision, I don't see opportunity, I see inexperience.

No one has replied. You first created this thread on 11-09-2011..so the answer you've come up with is we're all slackers? Yeah, that's really going to win people over.

You said that you've "tried unsuccessfully several times" to arrange a meet up. Maybe it's because your delivery is wrong. When you don't get sales, do you call your potential customers slackers? Or do you take ownership, and change your tactics to turn those visitors into conversions?
