Mastermind Group: Latin American warriors

Hi Folks,

I myself am Dutch however I live in Lima (Peru). I would love to meet up with some warriors (if any) here and perhaps (if there are sufficient people) start a group for warriors who are also interested in doing IM for the Latin American market.

The Latin American market has huge potential but some very difficult hurdles also (such a payments online, trust issues for online payments etc).

I myself have some VERY hot domains for soccer (futbol) which I think is one of the biggest opportunities online for Latin American market and if possibly a JV could roll out of this group that would be awesome.

Yes payments online is a huge hurdle! They're not comfortable paying online. I have a site at #1 Google for a Spanish niche(in English this niche is a huge money maker), it gets like 800 visitors a day. I've probably sold 6 ebooks in 3 months- and made zero profit. But yeah I am definitely interested.

Where are you located if I may ask? In South America or are you outside and you want to try / are working on this upcoming market?

Yeah, so far I found one site specifically in business of receiving money online but even their website sucks and tried contacting them but zero response..
However they do have their own ebay website here but I feel most transactions with this website are just handled offline again.

However I think there is one particular market here which does have some 'now' prospects for paying online. All other countries to start would be probably better served with CPC offers or CPM

Great topic. I'm located on South California, Northwest Mexico. I usually go back and forth, but I do all my marketing in English, to the American market.

As you mentioned, the online payment trust is a big issue. But I'm confident that with time it will become increasingly easier to do IM on Latin America, and the ones who get there first will get a slice of the pie. Let's be the pioneers.

I am now located in Orlando, FL. Need to update my location on here. I've been investigating niches in the Spanish language because obviously the English internet is very saturated with competitors.

I'm hoping that Latin American ecommerce will take of. It's hard to say though. On one hand, it's inevitable that they will get more used to technology and comfortable paying online(as all countries are). But then again, Latin America is a fairly poor place compared to the rest of the world. What are your guys thoughts on this?

I'm definitely going to keep at it. The market I've tried specifically is Mexico.

I don't fully agree with the 'fairly poor' I can tell you from own experience that living in Lima is more expensive then the USA in a lot of factors (I can't say anything about 'total living costs' which I think are still a bit less here but still). Also Santiago and Buenos Aires are def NOT cheap cities.

On top of the Brazil (multiple cities) is expensive as H*LL! Even more expensive than my home country the Netherlands! Yes there are many many people in the country sides of these countries who have very little. Wealth is not divided very honestly here, however besides this sociological issue there is def a market with people that have money here.

Peru & Brazil are actually part of the 7 golden countries, I believe this was published last year (with national economic growth over x%, don't know the exact limit, but I know Peru had 7% at that moment and Brazil something like 14%). Growth has slow down now due to world economic problems I guess (I'm no expert) but there is still growth.

So we're just with few people interested at this moment, which is fine, how do you guys want to continues this idea? Keep it here in this thread? Do a skype group / facebook group / MSN messenger? I'm fine with everything but I think we should keep it with just one for better communication.
