Mastermind Group: Classifieds Warriors

Hi all wanting to put together a bit of an international master mind group for anyone that currently owns a classifieds website or something similar where the main method of monetization is via paid listings or adverts from users.

Because of issues with competition and conflicts of interest, you do not have to share what it is you are doing or working on.

Im open to anything in terms of meetups. We could do locally based meetings, skype or G+, lets just see how much attention this gets first before we commit.

Please share this with others that you know have classified style sites.

Not sure mate. Mine is being custom built with everything I want.

I personally would not recommend an off the shelf solution.

This thread/master mind group is about people running or starting classifieds websites and has nothing to do with posting in them or solo ads.

My site is up and running now. Now comes the part where I have to get people to use it and post ads.

I have a few strategies up my sleeve and alread have a couple posts on there without even trying..

How do you guys go in that area?

Yes I am monetizing , a storefront is a paid subscription. I'm almost at 1,000 members and when I get to that I will start charging to post. I'll probably loose half? but the ones I keep I can help better.

Store front is a good idea, im not monetizing as yet, also waiting for my 100th ad, but when I do it will be paid classified options, paid banner ads and a business directory listing offer for 12 months.

What are you using for the store front?

That seems to be a fair few ads, are any of them bot posted?

If not the conversion rate is definitely good.

Im up to about 40-50 ads (bout 10-20 expired), main traffic from facebook, search and direct. Not going to monetize until I have done my second set of updates and until I have at least 10 new ads uploaded per day on average.

Ranking first page in pos #4 for my main keyword.

My main problem is having the time to work on it.
