Thanks Sarah - I'm finalizing the hotel selection now so hopefully will have a full announcement for this thread next week. Jason said he'll start on the website sales letter next week. If things hold I've got a pretty good rate for folks - like $90 USD/night but could only get a block of 50 rooms at that price. So prepare to book early if you want to lock in the rates.

Networking is definitely one way to help yourself grow in this, or any, industry. In fact most of the folks who have graciously agreed to speak I met last year at Eric's event or have traded emails with here on the forum.

As for a parka - I'd say not here near the Piedmont area - though for a Florida boy you might want a sweatshirt or heavy Jacket.

I grew up in norther Ohio ( I don't miss the snow I tell ya) so what folks here think is cold I think of as mild. Of course I worked at Nortel for a while so worked with a lot of folks from Canada and what I thought was a cold day they thought was a nice spring day! So what I think is mild might be a bit chilly to someone from the Sunshine State

Now up in the mountains here, it can get a bit nippy - for example Mount Mitchell has recorded snow fall in every month of the year. It can get down right cold up there in the fall and winter time, but it is over a mile above sea level too.

Here - its pretty nice in the fall - not as colorful as the mountains - but nice.

Again - I'm looking forward to meeting you at the event.

I would love to attend this event, however, the timing is not good for me as I will be that weekend in São Paulo, Brazil, for the F1 Grand Prix, for which I have already paid and made reservations a long time ago. But I do hope there will be another such event at a more convenient time for me.

I went to my first seminar back in July and right after that money started coming in. Best of all I met some great people to help me promote and grow my business. I'd say based on my initial investment I've made at least 10 times what I spent.

Robin, I noticed the same thing on the discount code, I made my reservations yesterday, so what I did was call the hotel directly and made my reservations that way, just tell them the discount code and they'll look it up.

I sure hope people aren't seriously thinking about passing this event up.

Just a few months ago I made my way down to Jason's Austin Event. I made the drive after not being home for 6 weeks and was home less than 2 hours before we made the drive.

Hell the drive was almost 8 hours and we almost got T-Boned as a result. Not to mention I wrote the wrong date down and missed the entire first day. DOH!!!

So I sat in the second day and even though it was only one day it got me the following -

A JV with Jason
A PR contact that has paid off in spades
A $400 mentoring course for free

And you know what - I only spoke to 4 people at this event. Imagine if I had two whole days and the internet experts that are going to be at this event?!?

Seriously, stop the excuses. IF you are serious about this and really want to make a difference in your life over a single weekend pull the friggin trigger already.

If not, don't expect simpathy from me - people who invest in themselves are successful, those who don't ... well I don't have to tell you.

Rich, it's paid wireless in the rooms unless Jack has arranged for a special deal. Any chance you have a Blackberry? For an extra $15/month you can use the USB cable to provide wireless to a laptop.

Interesting, I just looked at the hotel fact sheet. In the public areas of the hotel there's wireless Internet access. But in the rooms, and in the meeting rooms, it's wired, and you have to pay for it. I guess that means you can't easily use laptops in the meeting room?

Not that it's a big deal to me personally in the meeting room, but it's strikes me as sort of odd.
