Sorry for the confusion - we'll have a wireless router in the conference room so folks can get online there as well as several power strips near the tables so folks can plug in and charge without running their batteries down.

Looks like I was a little enthusiastic about getting there. Looks like I'll have a whole extra day spend in Raleigh before the registration. I guess I should have read the schedule a little closer.

So If anyone is showing up Thursday the 15th, maybe we can hook up and go explore a bit.

Yea - I won't be living this one down any time soon. I'm using an old software package I have and that was totally user error. I had set up a list at iContact but just hadn't got around to using it - which I'm going to pay for since my wife works for iContact and one of the presenters is their marketing guy. Not looking forward to those conversations -

so maybe I'll be staying at the hotel as well

Lets plan on getting together Thursday night at the hotel and having a drink/coffee etc. Robert Plank, Bev and her husband, and several others will be in early so I'd like to meet folks before the pandemonium begins.

I started a list in Twitter for the event group but obviously didn't have everyone's twitter handle. I think you can add yourself by going here:

Or just searching for warriorforumeventraleigh. (Sorry it's so long, but I wanted people who weren't familiar with the #wfral hashtag we used to be able to find it.)

The cool thing about the new Twitter lists is that you can just follow the list without individually following everyone (no mass of auto DM's filling your Tweetbox!).

Of course, you can also click on individual names and follow them too.

First I want to thank everyone who participated last October - a great time was had by all!

I made the official announcement on George Sepich's Friday Night Chat and will be sending out an announcement to the list - but I am not hosting the 3rd annual Warrior Forum meetup. I encourage, and hope, someone else will continue this fine tradition. I feel this should be part of the tradition - sort of like SF's WorldCon - that it be held somewhere different each year. I'd also suggest getting a team of folks together to put on the event - you'll need the help!

Also I'll be willing to help out anyone who wants to put on the event - just contact me and I'll do what I can.

Alright - I've lied. We are going to do the 3rd annual - we're just skipping a year. Lets see what happens next year on Feb 26 2011

I updated the first post with a few more details - we'll start our own thread later in the year.

But reserve that date - Great Things are coming!!!!
