I live on i35. Literally like 2 blocks from an on/exit ramp in lewisville. That puts me close to everything. Is there a meet up group formed yet? Shoot me some details. I'd love to meet folks, trade ideas, and get some advice about what I'm doing right/wrong.

I think Austin would make for the perfect, big monthly meet up or something like that. I'm in Austin very often anyway too. Though I think having everyone come down or up to Austin every weekend might be a bit much for many people.

If those in Dallas are interested in meeting casually on Monday night in the North Dallas/Galleria area then let me know. There is one place which is big, has decent food, and wi-fi so that we can go over topics together.

If open to the idea then PM me and I can put together something for Monday around 6:30 or 7:00. This would be informal, with minimal agenda other than to discuss IM and how best to improve in our current areas. A more "formal" agenda can be set starting in July if this is what the group truly wants.

I'm an hour from Ft.Worth! Just recently moved out of the damned place.

Let's do this! I'd like to meet other Warriors and make some connections! Share knowledge, etc.

So, uh... Just the entrepreneurial side of me speaking... But maybe everyone should pitch in to buy my monthly SMS service so that we could all be informed of when and where we will be meeting up!

But for real, I would like to meet anyone else interested in marketing. I've just recently changed the name of my business to accommodate more forms of marketing than just SMS so I will be looking for people to join my marketing group. (Changed from WildfireSMS to Green Marketing Group. Green M for short.) I want to get with others and work together to build this business from the ground up. Work together to build effective fliers, info packets, etc.

I feel like maybe I'm not strong enough alone, but as a group we could make it happen!

I'm in Dallas (Rowlett) and would definitely be interested. I already organize two Meetups (DFW Social Media Marketing & The Dallas eBaybes & eMales) and enjoy connecting and learning with and from other marketing professionals.

I know that it has been quiet here for a while, but I just joined the party. I work in Addison and live in The Colony, so anywhere in the Dallas area will work for me. Has anyone actually started a Meetup group in the Dallas area yet? We seem to be well represented here!

Wow, this thing has been dragging for a while. For those in the DFW area why don't we just pick a date and then based on number of interested parties we can lock down a location. How about May 1st or 2nd somewhere central to Dallas and Fort Worth. If we can get a consensus on dates I will try and work out the other details.

OK, I read all of the posts and see that people are interested....

I am in Denton, a Northern suburb of Dallas. In DFW, we have a Meetup Group for Internet Marketers.... But that doesn't really float my boat. What I am more interested in is a Master Mind Group, a core group that is moving forward and that we can share ideals, skills and maybe even joint ventures.

About me..... I come from a solid IT background with 20 plus years in the trenches. I have been designing websites since the early days. Currently I own a website design company. We build websites, do SEO and Product launches online.

Lets just say I am busy....

I work from home and am NOT a fan of driving all over the place... Just as happy to do meetings online.

From past experience, a core group of 5 to 8 is about best. Motivation and a can do attitude are the most import of all.... Anyone can learn skills if you have the right attitude.

If this sounds good to anyone, PM me and then we can have a chat, if it seems like we have something to share, we can progress from that foundation.

I am not too far from you neck of the woods and noticed that you do product launches. Do you have any products launches that you can share with us? What type of $ figures have you created for the product owners and maybe you can share with us what your product launch owners have had to say about what you have done for them.

What type of products do you work with and what is your charge for services?

I'm in Canton, Texas (Big 1rst Monday).

Was a scheduled meeting ever planned? If so, where and details please as I would like to attend.

If not yet, do I need to come back to Dallas and organize, motivate and process this into an actual happening? After reading all the post of interest I'm not seeing where anything was planned or did my old brain miss something.....

The quickest way to loose interest is for no one to do anything and it sounds like there is some serious interest. I'm new to this forum as of today (06/01/12), but I know how to organize a meeting or two and would do it just so that I can observe and learn if nothing else. I love knowledge, and even more, I love to gain knowledge on how to make MORE money. Heck, I might even buy the coffee.

What I have observed, I think to start with Texas should be broken up into four sections. DFW, Houston, Austin/SA, Abilene. Each area should develop a monthly meeting first, then move to bi-weekly if the groups feels it be required. My past experience has proven that Thursday evenings between 7-9 works better then other days/nights. Then after say about six months or so, a State wide meeting could be planned. This would allow for a well planned State wide get-together.

I would be interested in heading this up to start and then once we are moving having someone else take over that has more knowledge in the area.

Just some thoughts. Let me know
