  We could start by using something like chatzy.com to make a private chat room.
  
  Set up a time and date to meet in that chat room, introduce ourselves & what we do, establish our goals as a group, and from there organize a place/time to meet in GR, IRL.
  
  If everyone sends me their email address via PM, when I get enough addresses I can set up the chat and let everyone know the time.

There is an active group in the Detroit area, I know they have members from Flint so might be a good match for you. They are looking to add members, good luck.

Now if I could find some closer to Jackson than Detroit or Grand Rapids!
