I believe Kerry Finch organises a few events on the Sunshine Coast, some meetups etc. The timing hasn't been right for me so I've never got there, but maybe one day I'll be able to make the trip.

Check out the world internet summit. Brett Mcfall and Tom Hua host this event. It travels around the the asia pacific region and probably 2 or 3 times a year they will host in Australia. I went to one a year or so ago and really enjoyed it.

Totally agree John, definately need to be well disciplined at these events.
Still got some useful info from the speakers though but the best part of these events is the networking.

I think i read that from you on another post and it does seem to be his focus. The guy has passion and the people that go to his events can't wait to pull out their wallets especially at WIS. It's amazing! Sorry to hear you got burnt. The amount of people that he "mentors" must be huge these days so you can just imagine how many will get burnt too. I only go to these things for motivation and refuse to buy anything, I even told him to his face

He didn't seem phased though, guess he already made bucketloads

The last WIS summit I went to, Brett pulled up one of his websites on the big screen to demonstrate something and none of the images loaded. You could tell he hadnt looked at the site in months. It was awkward and embarrasing.

During a one on one session I asked him why he wasnt promoting his sites using Adwords as instructed as part of his marketing strategy. He struggled to answer, but gave some vague response. It gave me the impression it was a case of "Do as I say, not as I do..."

Its also pretty sad to see. A large percentage of these people are down on their luck and just looking for an opportunity to make money. I couldnt help but feel especially sorry for the elderly people that lined up with their credit cards. These people wouldve been hard pressed just to use the internet, let alone understand the intricacies of internet marketing.

I know of a few others, as close friends that were utterly dissapointed. One was fighting one of the speakers for a full refund because the guy literally dissappeared. It was disgusting.

I'd wait for a couple years before moving downunder. Unfortunately, we have a government which is hostile towards successfull people and business. Consequently, a new wealth redistribution tax masquerading as a way to fight climate change called the carbon tax goes into effect shortly, despite the current minority government leader stating that, "there will be no carbon tax, under a government I lead," during the last election campaign.

Brett was my vet first introduction EVER, into IM. Paid $2400 for his year long course. Of course I didn't take the required action( my fail, my fault) but it's as a direct result of that large spend, I found the world of IM.

Realized the free seminar would have a pitch at the end, and made a rescission not to buy.

BUT...

The final pitch at the end was very persuasive, in loading ( what I see now as just throwaways) action takers with bonuses...

Anyway, I bought, didn't use but found IM because of it...

Wish I'd had a cheaper intro to IM though. Not saying the course wouldn't have brought results, but being in my 'new shiny toy' stage meant I was 'all over the place'.

Here's an idea....why don't we start a Skype Gropup and Facebook Group for New Zealander's and Aussies and leverage off the collective knowledge of the members of the groups rather than pour our hard earned money into course after course of regurgitated garbage that gets us no closer to our IM goals...happy to set up if there is enough interest...??

Hi guys,

This type of thing that John expereinced is a very sad to hear.

Whilst there are many internet marketers with integirty and honesty trying to product high quality products and course that genuine help people (and this is ALWAYS there primary motive) you get this sort of S**T happening to honest people looking for a good mentor to guide them through the maze of the IM world.

This is why this forum is so valuable. I always check in here before I commit to anything. Like in life...ALWAYS ALWAYS do your due dilgence first. Don't beleive the sale pitch...the special deal WILL BE there in a few days time.

already a group here and for the skype group it probably would be a waste of time, in that to much time is already lost waffling on and at best disconnecting from said groups allows for more work to be done, ? not sure if I said that right but hope the meaning comes through.

I do know that there was an active group on meetup that used to meet often in the Brisbane area. Last I head they used to get together at the Toowong library.

Reckons he's going to show you a million dollar internet business blueprint which he has developed and used (to create more than that)

Have been to his events before and he's a good one for over delivering.
