I have uploaded a website, txrus.com but get an apparent error code at the top and the bottom of the page:
<!--[if !supportMisalignedColumns]--> <!--[endif]--> and <!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--> <!--[endif]--> I guess there is an html error in the code. Is there some software I can use to check the html and correct errors? The errors do not show up on the page until it is uploaded. In testing the page on my desktop, it works fine. Thanks again, Mickey |

Your site is created in Microsoft Word, so it doesn't use real compliant HTML. MS Word creates the messiest code imaginable and often throws up errors. It is a wordprocessor, not a website builder - they have just added the ability to attempt to turn your document into some kind of HTML.
As you can see, it doesn't always work. You would be much better off using a real website development tool: XSitePro is very good and easy to use, or there is a free WYSIWYG editor at Nvu Web Authoring Software Alternatively, consider using WordPress. Building websites in Word will only cause you stress in the long run! Finally, to help the page you have right now, you can try Textism: Word HTML Cleaner which strips out all the proprietry rubbish from your files and will - hopefully - leave you with better code. I can't guarantee the results, but it is worth a try. Martin |
