MLM Question - Changing Company?

Hello I have been with a 36 year old company now for just over 5 months and I have been making money from it, slowly increasing. However I have been offered to join another company which is coming to the UK and none of their products are on ebay or amazon or anything and I am just wondering and the company is 4 years old just torn whether to leave my first and only MLM business to try another - with the thought in mind that its not saturated at all in my country.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Do both if that's what you want.

    DO NOT DO IT!

Focus on what you are doing now. If you are switching around all the time you will never be successful in MLM. There will always be the next best thing. Your reputation will drop if you haven't made substantial amount of money from your current MLM and you switch to another one. It's important you stick with your company till the 5 year mark, and continue working super hard. Keep working hard, and avoid the MLM bomb like a plague.

I also don't think that doing 2 will work. Not in MLM. Focus your attention on 1. Why would you want to scatter your downline like that? And you'll confuse your current downline. They'll say, well if he believes in our company so much why is he in that other deal? It's best to promote one. MLM is different than affiliate marketing.

I don't do MLM, but don't see why you couldn't bring a second company into the fold. After all, a lot of people endorse more than one product. Besides, you don't have to advertise both products to the same groups of people. One hand doesn't have to know what the other hand is doing....

Miklanderson, I agree that is very possible if it's being done online. Even then, if you haven't been able to grow one mlm company, why would you put a handful and build two at the same time. From the looks of it, the op hasn't reached his income goal yet, so it's best if he puts his efforts into learning to build 1 mlm before having 2. Mlm has a system for you to give you an edge for succeeding. And if his current mlm is providing him that and he is still in the building process, I think it's smart to stick with one.

It's kind of like being a Facebook marketer, seo marketer, google Adwords, and other types of marketing all at once. But you haven't been able to master 1 because you are all scattered.

Many MLM companies have non-compete clauses that prohibit you from participating in more than one program. They will not hesitate to kick you out and keep your commissions. There are instances where this has not held up in court, however unless you're already making big bucks with the company it doesn't make sense to spend thousands (maybe tens of thousands) to fight them.

If you're already achieving some level of success with an established company, I wouldn't jump ship for another. Not to mention the fact that your going to lose trust and credibility with your downline.

Rankingspecialist...I can see a number of benefits to having more than one company you're working with, not the least of which is not having all of your eggs in one basket. Of course, if there's a non-compete agreement in place, it's a moot point.

I agree not to have all your eggs in one basket, but the way you can achieve that is by building a list and building some credibility with the people who follow you and are your downline. In case something goes wrong with one company they'll trust you.

If it's online, you could easily promote 2 different MLM companies. But offline, you want to be consistent with your identity, so that your downlines don't see you doing multiple companies. Or else, they too will do the same thing, and that's when they lose their focus and don't make money at all. Most people can't handle 2 things at once and most of your downlines aren't using the internet to promote their MLM business and also not knowing how to.

You could promote 2 different MLM companies, but I wouldn't unless it's a MLM system and training company that also pays out in MLM like MLSP or EmpowerNetwork and so on.(I'm not affiliated with them)

Ask yourself, which company are you more passionate about? the 1st one or the 2nd one. If it's the 1st one, then don't take up the opportunity with the 2nd one. If it's the 2nd one, find ways for your team to be independent or look for an upline or a leader that is willing to manage your whole team for you(so you still make that income from the 1st company), then move on to the 2nd company.

You do not want to jump to the 2nd company and lose all that income you created with the 1st company.

Most down line members will follow you on the internet, and they'll find out that you are in more than 1 company. I think it's smarter to chose a company you like, stick with it. Everyone will have different opinions but I have read books about network marketing, and lots of top leaders recommend this, because they have seen people even quit all together, because they get unfocused.

I'll say it all depends on who you are as a person and what you are capable of. Most important thing is that if you change opportunity you better know it's for the better, because frankly. 99.9% of MLMs is total crap. Most of them are distributor driven which is just wrong. As a company you need to be customer driven and that rarely happens with MLM companies due to them selling their stuff at crazy high margins.
