$7 or $5...is that too low ?

I have recently launched an ebook on twitter with over 50 pages . There are two high converting clickbank ads on first and last page.

I am offering it for free however i have also kept a rebrandable version which i am selling it for $7. Should I offer this ebook on WSO for $5 will it be an good idea, or what ? as already i have priced it so low!

That's a question I have asked myself. One answer to it is: it doesn't matter what the price is within wide limits, because if it's cheap, you get more sales, and if it's expensive you get fewer sales but the income in both cases is number of sales X sale price and that will be substantially the same.

The second answer to the question is, do you have a follow-up offer? If you do, then, the more sales the better because each sale is an opportunity to pitch the next offer.

Ultimately, you can only know these things by testing. Which is hard, because for accurate indications, you may only alter one variable and run the test at the same time. If you don't do that, other variables slip in and then unless there are drastic differences the indication you get is not reliable.

I sell lots of re-brandables and it depends on the product in question. All but 1 is offered at $9 each and i have never had a complaint.

However my twitter one which is of high demand and a very high qiuality goes for $19 and through me offering the free version to new twitter followers i get lots of sales that way.

Have you thought of putting yours as your welcome message?

I think $7 is a great price and wouldnt lower it any more.

    kind regards

Thanks Sam, I got your point ! However sending automated DM's to my followers is one thing that i really dislike. When i don't like getting automated DM's how can I send one.

And i am sure posting my link in welcome message is a part of solution. Sending personal tweets to each one is not a good idea as it will consume most of your time. I really need to break the ice...??

    Hi

I agree with Big Mike here. If your product is good, then you can make several sales.

But the downside is...since you are new, you may not have enough credibility.
But i think you should not worry about it because remember, we all were new, at some point in time.

So just believe in your product, pay $20, create the WSO, and take the plunge!

And i wish you all success, allsuccess!

Price you have been asked is not too much for everyone so if anyone need to buy it he/she will buy it whether the price is 7/5. Cause the price you have charged is already a low one. Reducing the price will not make any sense.

On WSO you need to offer a price tag that is not available to general public. I am offering $7 to public and $5.57 to warrior members as the targeted sells would be much higher and I will be able to build a personal brand by offering high quality products for less.

That's a good idea ! Thanks for your input. I shall put this to test and lets see how it works our!

It all depends on value. My way of pricing is giving a good price for over-value product. Say if everyone else is selling at $10 for a niche product for its value. I will go for $8 in terms of volume sales. I do not compete in price but instead I do testing of what price sells in volume. No point of selling $20 but moves slowly whereas $10 will get huge movement of sales. So, you will still require a little testing to find the best value and sale volume.
