Leadpages vs. OptimizePress

I'm leaning towards lead pages purely for their split testing analytics... Anybody have any experience with either software? Which do you prefer?

I would go with WPProfitBuilder. I have found it to be better and easier than both.

Same here. WP Profit Builder is awesome. Really lovely pages built in no time. Drag n' Drop easy, looks beautiful, and a boat-load of really nice templates to start from. Plus the options you get to modify things are insane. I struggle to find one single negative thing to say against it.

It lacks split testing functionality, but you aren't paying a monthly fee like Lead Pages which I think starts at around $40-50 a month for the basic package. OP2 is also about $97 for a 3 site licence or $197 for unlimited domains. WP Profit Builder is awesome and right now it's still at the launch price of around $67 for unlimited use. It's awesome and price is a steal right now.

If you want split testing, go download Prosper202 or something like that. It's free, but you have to install it on your hosting. I don't use it, but I'm sure it does split testing. I think you can do it using Google Analytics Content Experiments too if you can't setup Prosper202 yourself on your hosting account.

WP PB is by far the best IM tool I've bought in a long long time. I almost hate recommending it. These kinds of things you want to keep to yourself, like a "best kept secret".

And no. I am not affiliated in any way with WP PB.

I use both Optimize Press2.0 and LeadPages. I haven't used WPPB but am totally aware of it due to the current launch.

Basically, asking which is better or worse is a silly question. They all have their cons and pros and depending on what you want to do. Some are better.

For example, LeadPages is definitely a lot more newbie friendly and easier due to the fact that you do not need a domain, hosting or any wordpress skills. Not to mention everything is hosted on a super dooper fast server so you don't need to worry about the load time.

OP2.0 is very flexibly when it comes to building marketing pages and it also allows you to build membership sites as well. I used Kajabi which cost $100/mo but OP can pretty much do everything I want anyway so it saved me quite a bit. The only problem with wordpress plugins is that it needs to be updated on an ongoing basis...

So basically..... Depending on your goal, some are better than others. No real answer here

I can vouch for WP Profit Builder as well. It blew my mind with how simple but yet powerful this plugin is. I haven't used LeadPages, but I have used Optimize Press 1 many times before in the past. OP1 vs WPPB is not even fair to compare as WPPB wins hands down, but I'm not sure how OP2 compares except that WPPB costs much less.

Sure. Agree with all of that. Just throwing out another option because the original poster said he was leaning towards LP for split testing, but the monthly subscription is a lot to pay purely for split testing. You can achieve the same result using Prosper or Google Content Experiments for free.

WPPB does squeeze and sales pages, membership pages, product delivery pages, FAQ pages, review pages and general marketing pages. All with really great looking templates pre-done. The only thing it can't do from what I've seen is a Blog, so OP2 has the advantage there. But WPPB comes as a theme and plugin, meaning you can install the plugin on another theme that contains your Blog. I got it installed on an OP1 site. That's a great benefit that it comes as a plugin too, meaning you can install it anywhere you want if you run multiple sites.

But yeah, I have to agree. All depends what you want it to do. Many swear-by LP. I've never tried it but it does look pretty awesome. Only thing that put me off was the monthly subscription. Got too many already.

But WPPB is mind blowing. It ain't often I get blown away by something in IM, but WPPB did it with ease. It's incredible and so easy to use.

Leadpages is useful for it's simplicity (although it could also be it's downfall).

It is nice to have some pretty neat templates ready at your disposal and it's designed to convert. Sometimes the creative side of my brain tends to take a break.

I know someone mentioned earlier that it's hosted on their servers, which I believe it's from Google. Unlike WP Plugins, where you rely on your own hosting. Speed really does matter, even if we're talking about micro seconds.

Honestly, I don't rely too much on their split testing system as I have my own preferred one but all in all, you can't go wrong with leadpages.

I'm using Optimize Press and split testing with My Click Boss. From what I've seen LeadPages seems to be more "in the 21st century" but Optimize Press works pretty well.

  • I have used both (LP and OP2). I decided that OP2 is better, but I see most people lean the other way.

    Hi microload,

We use OptimizePress because it gives us all the functionality that we need, and is very easy to use with pretty much 'copy and pasting' page building.

In terms of split-testing, we haven't bothered going to Leadpages, simply because of the monthly fee. There is no point in using Leadpages if everything else we need, except split-testing, is already supplied by OptimizePress!

I have first hand experience with both of these and i teach my students to use both but i HIGHLY suggest optimize press. Even though it is more expensive you have to pay one time $97 rather than $37 every month. You can self host on your own wordpress blog much easier than LP. Although LP does offer a wordpress integration.

If you want to have solid sales funnels where you can also "copy" pages then optimize press is your best bet.

I HIGHLY recommend OP over LP.

You need to see which one would work better for you and if you need a look inside Optimize press before you buy i can also hop on Skype and show you the inside of it.

I have used both LP and OP. Even Thrivethemes and WpProfitbuilder is great but both this theme and plugin don't have feature for split testing like in Leadpages.

In general, Leadpages much better in terms of function from OP. However the downside, you need to subscribe and basically if all of your squeeze page using LeadPages, the problem is when you unsubscribe, it will never shown again because using the API system. Unlike OP, its one time payment, and currently, OP2 is improving.

My advice, if you just want to create pages with no testing, ThriveThemes and WPProfitBuilder would be enough because cost much cheaper than OP and Leadpages. Choose OP2 if your not into monthly charge like LeadPages but it would cost you $297 of unlimited personal license. Both are great but I would still prefer OP2.
