Default Thank goodness for Garbage Collectors

We watched the parade today and humans being as they are, when everyone was leaving trash was everywhere on the ground despite garbage bins being just a few steps away. "Leave it for someone else" seems to be the attitude.

Just like people leaving trash on the ground, if it were not for moderators this forum would be filled with garbage. I can see how moderators burn out and/or get jaded. When you constantly deal with the losers in life its pretty easy to see the bad in any post.

I owned a forum that I threatened to shut down because of the constant spam and lack of regard for the rules. At some point I just lost my cool and anyone that broke the rules had their entire history of posts deleted from the backend in one glorious SQL statement. ( we had free advertising in one forum so they didn't like that )

I can't help but think about this as I watch the fireworks display outside my window.

Our city workers will be out in full force tomorrow picking up the garbage.

There is usually one worker, a supervisor and a supervisor for the supervisor. In other words their is one person working and two people watching him/her.

Ofcourse when you get paid $30+ per hour (yes that is right) then in paints a picture in your mind for sure.

Nice analogy about trash and the board. (and you are right)
