so im writing my lead magnets now, using frank kern program and 10k facebook fans program for ideas on promoting.
i understand im using the lead magnet as a funnel for costumers, the question is-should i start the marketing process with the lead magnets even if i dont have my product ready yet?

it may take me some time to get it done, and i thought maybe put a site+a blog in the meantime to get some recognition.

Create the ebook first. It's easy it doesn't even have to be long. Just fill it with great information that compliments the eventual product that you will sell. But dont put up anything trashy... give first, and prove your worth. But don't up your lead magnets if you don't have a free product to offer subscribers. That wouldn't make sense.

    Short answer...'YES'

Long answer...it's never too soon to build a list. That way, it doesn't matter if you finish your product now or next year because you now have a list to promote to.

Besides, knowing that they are waiting to be marketed to puts that 'good' pressure on you to finish your product.

    Goodluck!

Finish your magnet first because what else will you give away as a incentive? It doesn't have to be perfect and you can change things around later on but you have to have it at least ready to give away!

If I understood the question, you already have the lead magnet, right?

So the answer is yes, start building that list, even if your product isn't ready. But make sure to create it fast, because your subscribers will not wait for you.

The best thing to do though is to have your funnel setup BEFORE you start buying traffic. Get the product ready (sales page too), and later, add an upsell.

You should finish the ebook at first and only after that start promoting it hardcore mode. It is going to be better for you because you will not be stressed that people want to buy the book but you don't have it yet.

    Hi Talper,

If you have your Lead Magnet ready, but do not have your end product ready, then you should still get it out there and build a list!

I echo what others have said in this post - get building your list, because that way when it is time to actually launch your product, you will have a platform to launch it from.

So get them in your list, give them some quality content and then sell them your product further down the line. It is all about establishing trust with your subscribers from the get-go!

To wait until your product is ready might hold you back.

Creating a list is always a good idea.

You could then use this list to find out how interested people might be in your product.

You could do a survey to your list or ask them questions to see if they would be interested in a product like yours. If you discover that they are not interested in a product like yours then you just saved yourself a lot of time and energy in creating a product that people may not want.

However, if you discover that they are interested then you can go ahead happily knowing that you have a list interested in your product.

Whilst you're creating your product you could offer something else that is related to your product and just keep in touch with them building your relationship with them so that when your product is ready they will be more likely to buy from you.

    Hope that helps.

You could pre-sell, which would give an indication on how worthwhile it is to write the product . . . if no-one wants it, there might not be much point

An alternative approach is to ask your relevant contacts what they WANT most and write that
