Anyone used Skimlinks and Viglink?

I used skimlinks when my amazon account was momentarily suspended due to California tax legislation "causing" amazon to pull their associates program from all in-state affiliates.

I would only ever use skimlinks again to redirect links on products i knew had high commission but for some reason could not access that particular affiliate program myself directly.

Their skimwords program (within skimlinks) converted very very low for me which is why i can only recommend their link redirect feature. Even if you have an amazon link on your site using skimlinks that link gets redirected through their program so you still get commission.

This is highly useful if you get suspended from amazon for whatever reason (like they pull their program from your state) so you can still offer the same products without changing your site/design/links too much.

Don't quote me on this but I believe that Viglink does roughly the same thing, but Skimlinks has a ton more connections with affiliate networks and so they can cover just about any niche and market that exists.

Skimlinks is also really nice for those who don't know how to monetize their site so they're at least getting some level of income from their traffic.

I personally used both of them but never satisfied with their result. Better you join individual affiliate program.

I've used both and I am not much satisfied neither.

I have one site that I use Viglink and Content.ad on, its just a site to test stuff really but it brings me in around $350 - $450 a month. Nothing life changing but it pays a few bills.

The pro's for viglinks is that it doesn't seem to have any effect on Google Rankings even if you have a ton of links on each post. Also it is set and forget just add the plugin to your Wordpress Site and it will automatically update any post you add.

It would be very easy to get a VA to write articles and then post them with images/video to a site and it would be a relatively passive income stream with Viglinks auto updating.

The negatives are as others have pointed out and that is you lose sales and commissions that you could earn if you signed up to the affiliate programs yourself. A lot of links also can look a bit spammy.

Sorry to bump the thread but I didn't wanted to post a new one. Can anyone share stories about using viglink or skimlinks ?
