Looks like the seller's typical sales are for model car kits. The seller has some other Michael Jackson domains up. Asking price is $9,999 for those. No offers on any of those.

I think it's this: There are still good domains out there. Maybe the seller in this case had tried several other domains, withot success. Many ofus can relate to that.

But with a little creative thinking, it's possible to come up with a winning name.

Yes, $21 m is the BIN. Surely he has other plans for creating the buzz. I think the seller also knows that his askng price is a little over the top.

There have been 10 undisclosed offers - all declined. Probably nowhere near the "buy it now" price.

I'd imagine the seller has opted for the BIN format as a straight auction in the current climate would get irate bidders putting in false, ridiculously high bids just to spoil the auction.

He reportedly has a bunch of unreleased songs, not just the ones for his kids, but others he's made throughout the years. Apparently, some even go back to his early albums--ones that didn't make the cut for the album. I'm sure they won't all be released at once. They'll spread them out over time.

Perhaps. It'll be interesting to see how things play out. Don't know why he or his creditors didn't access these assets earlier. Reports of him being $50m in debt were pretty common shortly after his death. Now I'm hearing he's worth millions. Interesting.

The further we get from the funeral and all the 24/7 sickening hype, I less interest there will be in his material. Don't know who will end up in charge of those unreleased songs, but it'll likely end up in court for some time. Hopefully for the kids sake, it's someone who has their best interests at heart and not their own.

I'd never have an interest in promoting anything associated with him. Great performer, no doubt. But far from a great human being in my opinion.

If the memorial service turns into some kind of giant woodstock kind of spectacle, then that website could be huge in the serps for years to come. However if it's a somewhat normal service, then that website will probably be practically worthless.

Check the bid history, all those are "declined".

There is NOOO way on earth this is even halfway true. The person is faking those bids and will bail out once the auction is offer. All those recent so called $21MIL domains are not worth a penny. (too long, or hyphens)....in addition MJ is a trade-mark.

One possibility is as said by Michael, but other chance is that he is creating fake accounts to bid for that and decline by himself - just to make the buzz.

But with that long URL...IMO it's not as enticing..

Although it definitely has marketing potential (we all know a lot of people wants to hear or attend his memorial service.) I'm not so sure that will be profitable for years to come..

This URL is connected to a one time event..his memorial service..Sure people would still look for some memorabilia during and after the memorial service..but for sure only for a while..

I have seen that same error message from ebay when they take something down. They have been doing this all the time with Obama's birth certificate. Someone keeps trying to sell it but ebay will cancel it if they cant verify its authenticity.

But with that long URL...IMO it's not as enticing.. Although it definitely has marketing potential (we all know a lot of people wants to hear or attend his memorial service.) I'm not so sure that will be profitable for years to come.. This URL is connected to a one time event..his memorial service..Sure people would still look for some memorabilia during and after the memorial service..but for sure only for a while.. oMar

Now he has other domain names for sales it appears.
