How do you keep writing?

So I've been in the IM scene for quite a while now, but one thing that really disturbs me is that I have to right almost daily.
I have to write emails, sales pages, eBooks and so on, which is really tiring and boring
so how do you stay motivated or how do you not get bored from writing?

In my case, by having several different niches and doing a little bit for each of them, rather than all my output in the same niches (which I can see would get more boring, more quickly).

I think I'd find that IM-related niches would get pretty boring, pretty quickly, though.

Breaking up your "writing day", taking regular breaks, doing other things too, resting and relaxing regularly can all help.

If I work without stopping, after only 2-3 hours I'm very fed up with it. By taking 10 minutes off in every hour, I can keep going almost indefinitely, as long as I'm physically able to do it.

      Joe,

Not all people are good at writing, enjoy writing, and have the patience to write well on a continuous basis. Writing is both a skill and talent I believe.

If you don't like to write, IMO, it will surely show to your detriment in the things you attempt to say to your audience.

There are some alternatives. Ghost writers for hire is the most logical solution. It will require paying for the service, of course.

A second alternative is to find a partner for your business that will assume the writing responsibilities.

A third alternative would be to build a business around non-verbal skills you may have. Graphics creation, programming, and arbitrage, for example, are business "types" that doesn't require lots of writing although you will still need to hire out sales letters, offer copy, and other such activities.

Writing is an important skill for the one-person business but there are ways around the impediment of lack of writing ability.

There is a solution to every problem in business if you care to find it!

      The very best to you,

      Steve

I take breaks, I work on different projects, that kind of thing. The thing is... I love writing so even though it's a lot of work I generally enjoy it.

I know a lot of people who hate writing. So you know what they do?

They outsource. They use PLR. They make videos. They create podcasts. They make graphics.

Sure, writing is a big part of most online marketing ventures, but there are plenty of things you can do outside of writing if you don't enjoy it.

I enjoy the process of writing. Whether I'm putting together an e-Book, a sales page, a newsletter, a novel, a screenplay, or a forum post, I like throwing the words together. Which doesn't, of course, help you one jot.

This is what I suggest: Mix it up and only ever write about something that enthuses you. I'm currently writing an e-Book that has me so excited it's all I can do from letting out the odd "Whoop!" whenever I think about it. You need that. You need something that fills you with excitement. And of course the added bonus here is you'll be subconsciously transferring that excitement to the page and your readers will pick up on it.

I enjoy writing. It's fun for me. It comes easily. I guess it's one of my passions. I don't relate to writer's block. I feel lucky, even blessed that I found what I do well.

Read a lot either blogs, books or other marketers emails.

I personally wouldn't suggest copying them even a little because personally for me it shuts down my creative side.

What I DO use all of those materials for is to generate more ideas in my head and supercharge my brain and then I blast it out in a form of an email, blog or long value based comment.

I have a bunch of different projects going at once, so I bounce around from project to project during the day. When I get tired of writing, I'll start designing shirts. When I get tired of shirts, I make a book cover. When I get tired of that, I'll move on to something else.

When I get tired of working, I hop on Warrior Forum for a while and it usually motivates me to get back to work.

If you absolutely hate writing, find a good writer and outsource a lot of your work. I'm just now starting to outsource and it's made my life a lot easier already.

Outsourcing is the answer to your problem. You will have to try several freelancers on small projects before you find a really good one.

Outsourcing is definitely a good solution if you don't like or can't handle it yourself. I personally love writing but I admit I have days when I simply don't want to and then I often just don't.

It's either you take a 5- to 10-minute quick break every hour or you outsource the content writing part to content writing companies or freelancers. I just focus on the pressing issues of my business. I outsource the content.

For me writing is a proficient talent of mine. I've always had a "knack" for writing. So doing the same thing for content creation and internet marketing was easy. As long as you submerse yourself into your niche and learn as much about it as you can, i'm confident that you can come up with tons of new content ideas on a daily basis.

Outlining and proper research. Those are the two 'secrets' that enable me to write up to 25,000 words per day.

I agree with Alexa, the breaks are key . I find that taking a quick break every hour for 15 min is helpful but every 4 hours a 30 min break is Wonderful for writing. Also try and Change the environment in that 30 min break go outside, stretch your muscles get the blood flowing and drink allot of Water.

    Hope that helps

I'm pretty sure they key is just to take regular breaks.

If I get bored of the task in hand or find myself hitting a brick wall I take 5-10 minutes out and then get back to it. Sometimes just watching youtube or letting your mind wander opens the gates to ideas when you stop thinking so hard about it. You could be doing something completely different and suddenly realise the answer/solution.

However you spend your time out you're bound to come back feeling more refreshed and able to tackle it again afterwards than you would if you attempt to plough on through when you just don't have it in you.

Outsource a portion of it or find a way to gamify it for yourself. Whether it is meeting a certain volume of output or quality (so many likes, comments or other) then give yourself some rewards that you would want but not typically give yourself. You can use an app like Lift to to set goals and motivate yourself.

    Best of Luck!

You can re-train yourself to like or not like anything. If you really want to live a certain lifestyle, you may find it beneficial to train yourself to see things like wasting time as disgusting ... and anything that leads to your goals as an incredible experience; like seeing the great love of your life every time you sit down to it.

The power of this should not be underestimated.

The more you come to enjoy and love the things you must do to succeed, the more likely you are to continue until you succeed. And since success is not gained once, but maintained over time, investing some time into making these changes may be the shrewdest investment you make this year.
