Hey warriors, I have a squeeze page where I provide useful tips on one particular niche. I want to automatically "promote" those leads who stay on the list for more than a month into another list. Basically, I simply want to migrate leads automatically from one list to another once they've been subscribed for 30 days. Does anyone know how to do that, or any trick to automate the process without having my leads to opt-in to the new list? Thanks! |

Not from first-hand experience, but I believe that both Aweber and GetResponse are willing to consider such requests on a case-by-case basis (and I've actually seen a staff member of one of them - can't remember which - saying so in this forum). I'm sure you'll need clear evidence that it's your own list, and used for the same purpose, to which they've already opted in, though.

Now that you've revealed which autoresponder service you're using, I can offer a useful post. In AWeber, it's possible to use the 'subscribe-on-subscribe' automation feature to automatically subscribe somone to 'List B' when they subscribe themselves to 'List A' This gives you two segmented lists which you can then send out independent broadcasts and follow-up messages to. Go to My Lists > Automation and use select and save the automation rules you want. There is another option within AWeber that allows you to search your list based on a number of criteria - one of which is time based - e.g. subscribed after or before a certain date. Just go to Subscribers > Select the criteria and save the segment. This will allow you to create a list of people who have subscribed to your list over 30 days ago. Out of the two methods, I prefer the first one as you can then keep the lists totally separate and follow-up with them independently via broadcasts and follow-up e-mails. Dedicated to your success, *Shaun O'Reilly |

So, no way to do it in Aweber? EDIT: I just confirmed it with Aweber technical support. There's actually no way to automate that Shame, cause I think that segregating your lists based on subscription time is rather useful...
