Getting paid for photos taken with cell phone or camera

Sounds like some clickbank product that's been around for ages. I wouldn't buy it. Sounds a lot like the paid survey crap you buy and it ends up to be all junk companies that don't really pay more than pennies for surveys.

istockphoto, shutterstock, fotolia etc. But I doubt you can sell photos taken with cell phone since those won't meet the quality requirements. Google "sell stock photos".

What can you do with photos taken with cell phone? Create a wallpaper website and give them away for free. Monetize the site with ads and affiliate programs.

Know all of those stock photo sites? Like istockphoto.com? You can sell your images on there. The site receives a cut and so do you. The trick is getting traffic to your listings and optimizing your portfolios and listings to rank well. Key is VOLUME.

Photos of yours can be sold on shutterstock and so on but you never get the promise that you will receive the exact amount of $37 on them. Also they have to be good quality, meaningful, themed photos because they are to be used in ads, wallpapers, etc. So, yes, it sounds like a possible scam what you bumped into.

I can't remember the name off the top of my head but there is a stock site where you can sell phone pics too. They have to be good pics though, not just pics anybody can take.

I have a friend who sells stock on all of the major stock photo sites. He has tons of great pics up there but he doesn't sell enough to make a living...not even close actually. If you are going to pursue that, it's best to start as a hobby and grow into it over time as you refine your editing process and so on.

I have seen these ads recently . . . they tell you how you can make tons of money if you just buy their guide. The guide is just a guide to using Photoshop, and while there certainly are ways of making money from photos, it's not as easy as they suggest, yet worth doing for a long-term residual income.

Don't bother to buy their photoshop guide, just download Gimp which is similar and genuinely free, and learn from free online resources, if you have a good eye, it's not too difficult.

Yes you can make money by taking photos and uploading them to microstock sites. I have about 1000 images on 123RF which is about 3rd best . . . best of the microstock sites is Shutterstock but they are much more picky and wouldn't accept most of my photos taken with a small camera (not SLR), but 123RF will accept anything which an interesting image, even from a phone-camera. From my 1000 phots up on 123RF I make approximately $5 per month. So certainly worth doing if you calculate what that is for the rest of your life, but not instant riches.

You can find lists of what relative profits other photographers are making on the different sites . . . there are a lot of sites, and the agreement is usually non-exclusive so you can sign-up for them all, but uploading, writing good descriptions and keywords, and doing things like layout etc. on the sites like Zazzle, does take time, as does taking good photos.

well if you are going to be doing that as a serous business .I would buy the guide smaller learning curve and it might give you insights you cant get for free or take time to get to. And its only 37$. So why not. The reason most people here are saying dont buy is because thats not what they do for a living. Also just because someone knows what seo is , does not make them a expert nor good enough to make real money doing it.

Build a decent portfolio of photos and/or videos and sell them as a package deal on Fiverr. I've seen a few people on there doing it.

Yes you can sell your photos online and it can be done with a camera. I use an iPhone 5c with a camera app that improves the camera so it can take high-resolution photos and has stunning effects filters etc.

Do some research on DSLR cameras and compare some of the phone apps that improve the camera greatly. Both for iPhone and Androids.

I also sell film clips taken with my iPhone and done up a little in After Effects and have also filmed a short-film using the iPhone and iPad.
