I suppose it depends on the quality of your ad. If you don't see any hits within the first 7 days, then I suggest optimizing your ad for better performance.

I have placed my bid over 20% more than the cost suggested

I've found Facebook ads to be a bit fickle. People are really there to converse with family and friends and not too look at advertisements. You may have some luck building up your own Facebook page and fan base and getting traffic in the long term.

Yes, I agree to you. But the traffic analysis available is awesome. Just need the right concepts to convert. I know it works but not sure how

  • Julius,

Are you talking about ad clicks, or ad conversions?

If you're talking about ad clicks, then that means you may need to tweak your targeting options, or your ads, or both; and

If you're talking about ad conversions, then that means you may need to tweak your targeting options, or your ads, or your opt-in page, or your opt-in offer, or all of these things -- I assume you're offering something beneficial to your first time viewers in exchange for their names and emails and / or mobile numbers, since you don't expect a significant number of first time viewers to buy whatever you're selling, do you?

There's no guarantee that you'll get any leads. They'll optimize the audience based on any conversions that you get, but before that happens, it might just be a while.

It also depends upon your budget. How much have you spent? Are you targeting the right people? Are you even getting any clicks? Or even impressions?

You have shared way too little info for anyone to help you.

In order for Facebook to optimize your ads, you actually have to have some conversions first. The more conversions you get, the better Facebook will be able to target future ads. Since you aren't getting any conversions with the current ad, try changing the targeting and/or the ad itself until you find something that converts. .

I agree that after 7 days if you see no traffic change it up. I would actually lower that number and say 3 to 4 days and the move on.

I usually give it 2 days myself and if it doesn't work then I move on. My best ads have been getting me traffic a little after the approval process and that are the ones that I keep reusing or tweaking around or just using as a template for my next ads.

Something seems wrong. A day is too long of a wait for a good offer with a targeted audience on a FB right hand side ad.

Now, if you don't have both, you can spend 'x' amount of dollars, wait for a year and still not see any conversions.

No conversions or no clicks or no impressions?

If you're getting clicks to your site but no conversions, you may want to look at your ad(s) and site and try to optimize them

If you're getting impressions but no clicks, you should look at your ads and targeting

If you're not getting any impressions, you may want to check your bids and check that your campaign and ads were approved
