When I first started it was easy to get distracted by all the shiny objects, new training products, and business opportunities.

Focusing on 1 thing at a time was a big breakthrough.

In the past, language is my biggest challence as English is not my mother language, so I met many difficulities in writing, I could not write article, comment, seo,... i couldnot write even a sentence with correct grammar at that time lol. Today, I pass this challence when i find the power of outsourcing

I guess doing it for only 3 years would categorize me still as a newbie.

Biggest challenge for me and those who I coached is the "what's next" question at the back of our heads or more commonly known as "Paralysis by analysis".

Maintaining FOCUS on one task at a time is an underrated skill a starting online marketer should have. With a gazillion options on how to earn that first buck, overwhelm from information is very common.

I think Focus is the problem for most newbie's. I had no idea how to block my time throughout the day and focus on income producing activities, or how to just pay attention to MY business.. Most new marketers want to hit the floor running and see the money flow quickly, but that's just not how it works most of the time.

    • In my experience (both personal and via clients), the challenges invariably consist of:
      - Finding a strategy that works
      - Working that strategy (and not being deflected off course by the latest 'shiney' method)
      - Getting traffic

So many times because of the lack of number three, they don't do number 2, which leads them constantly going back to number 1.

My advice, have the courage of your convictions, give something enough time to work and don't believe all the hype you read or hear from people selling their latest products.

    Sorry, I'm busy

the biggest challenge i see for speaking to student / clients is they try to go into the market alone with little to zero expierance based on something they read or bought

To succeed you need a team and an exact formula set out for you ( step by step ) and someone to hold you accountable

First it starts with a Mentor ( invest in your education )

    Great question!
    - Distractions from the 'shiny' products that keep coming out
    - Not sticking to one strategy until you see some fruits i.e. trying every other new one that you come across
    - Hoping to find a system that you can start in the MORNING and see $$$ in your accounts by evening. Of course, that CAN'T happen on this PLANET.
    - Without focusing on one strategy, you get no traffic. You find it hard to generate any meaningful traffic
    - Without traffic, you will get no SALES
    - Without sales, there is no BUSINESS
    - Without a business, you start the cycle again - looking for another shiny product, which you think will work magic this time
    - And the cycle goes on and on, until probably you give up

My biggest problem was just understanding how everything works, understanding what the sequence of things were, but I now realise the biggest thing is to build a list.
