Has anyone had success by adding on free 'functions' to their websites? I am not referring to 'cheesy' freebies. Rather, I'm referring to the following: - free advice - free assessment tools with instant results etc... Did your website attract or maintain more traffic after you had put these functions in use? Those are great to get on top of digg, reddit and other social bookmarking sites. Calculators, generators, simple tools that solve a problem, extensive references. You need to present them in a way that makes them appealing for these audiences. It's also a great way to get links. Tyrus |

For these things to work you have to make sure that they are tools that people really really want. It also helps if the tool you are offering is not available anywhere else or least is not easily accessible.

Having a freebies section help get traffic but people who look for free stuff generally won't make you any sales.
