Is there a better way to promote my website ?

Hi Warriors

Flipkart sales on the Big Day 6th October alone was INR 600 Crores $1,000,000,000
+ approx). If 0.1% of these potential buyers knew about my page, I would have earned between 1-10% of the sales which would have been $ 1000 - 10000. For me it didn't happen.

Point of sharing the above is to give you an indication about the potential that exists. I have the following questions. Glad if you can give me your views.
  • What in your opinion I should do to drive traffic to this page of mine ?
  • Do you think the page is in the right website ?
  • Should I do something else to drive traffic ?
  • You are welcome to suggest anything you feel I should and should not do.

    Because of it's subject matter this would be a great site to promote on social media.

    You can buy postings to large facebook pages or Pinterest would likely also de well.

    The stuff on fiverr is usually junk, but you can Google it and there are hundreds of sellers to choose from.

    I agree with Patrick,
    If you can create a campaign in Facebook and twitter especially...Then people will certainly make it viral...

    But...I can see one issue with your webpage is...The text on the home page...does not convey the message clearly and easily....

    You should first invest some time and effort for making the home page copy more attractive..

    1) I would put it on its own domain

    2) I would edit the homepage copy. Have it rewritten by a native-English writer.

    3) I would definitely promote via social media, as has been suggested. Start a Pinterest for Business account and make a "No Hungry Child" bored and post your photos of the children there. Also create several other boards, some of which are general interest things. You do this to drive incidental traffic to your profile.

        I have had about 128 likes so far in a span of 1 month after the facebook page was created. Please have a look at the page.

        I have Youtube tab and Watch Live Tab. My program can be viewed LIVE on internet. This has given very good credibility to the program.

        What more you think I should do ?

    I usually buy items online. Let me speak from a buyer's perspective.

    - I'm confused connecting between hungry children and purchasing products online
    - I would like to see more colorful pictures
    - I'm fond of buying items on Ebay. You should convince me why I should buy through your link and not Ebay or Amazon
    - What should I expect from these sites - just a little elaboration

    Remember you've roughly 3 seconds to grab your visitor's attention. So, may I suggest you improve on the design of your home page.

    Most of this has already been mentioned but I'll go anyway. The site is plain, bland even. Get a professionally made header with a compelling headline. Something that evokes emotion and makes people want to get involved. There are thousands upon thousands of people competing for charity donations these days and you have to make your appeal compelling to get some of it. As it stands the site is unappealing. It's also not clear what you're doing.

    It's been mentioned but you should absolutely get your own domain and hosting.

      I am trying to communicate that if you are online shopper and are buying from flipkart, amazon and the likes, then by going through my website of hungry child, you can still buy from the same portals but by buying through my website, I am asking them to help the hungry children indirectly.

      I do have another website No Hungry Child but the website is done by a volunteer and I am unable to push him to update the site quickly. I need to wait for weeks and months sometimes if I want a page to be updated. Can you suggest some expert who can make a better looking website using weebly templates ?
