first off i do hope i have not put this in the wrong section . if i have i do apologize . my question is this , is there any way of changing a affiliate link to a regular dot com address ?

in other words i want to take a link that looks like
www.example.com/r?=12345

and make it look like

i dont want to build a website because first of all i don't have the know how , nor do i have the money to have a expert build one .

Yes. You can register a domain and redirect it from the registrar to whatever the url of the affiliate-link is. Simple - no hosting required. (And of course far safer and more sensible than using an unnecessary third-party url shortener/concealer.)

Whether doing that will be compliant with the terms of service of the vendor/network whose product you're promoting as an affiliate, and whether you'll ever actually make a sale that way, without having your own website, are - of course - entirely different questions.

Neither did any of us, when we started.

In internet marketing, the money is earned by people who are willing to acquire skills.

You don't need an "expert" one. But you do need a simple one. The good news is that you don't need any money, to have that: you just need to be willing to learn, and to do some work.

It will probably be terribly difficult (if possible at all) to earn anything from putting your affiliate link on other people's websites.

        > Go to a domain registrar. I use an outfit called 975Register.com. NameCheap.com is another one, while some swear by (and others swear at) GoDaddy. It's about $10-$12 per year.

    Hey Donald

You don't need to have a lot of money to build a website.

You can do this yourself by using Wordpress.

You can go to Udemy using the link below and sign up for this free course.

    Hope that helps.

Good points posted by others. I'll add that there are a LOT of really good free WordPress themes out there, and if you can to customize one and don't have the skills to make minor changes in code or change the header-image or whatever, then it is surprisingly cheap to hire outsource workers to do that for you.

I've used oDesk for years for getting that kind of thing done, and recommend posting fixed-price jobs so that both sides know what to expect financially, and it's usually best to split the job into small tasks that can be fully checked as you go along.

WordPress is easy to use, and does a great job.
