How To Use Niche-Related Articles For Increased Sales

This isn't a guide, I guess the title may look like it, but sorry it's not haha. I'm just curious about making more money with articles. I like articles and I want to write them for my own site rather than someone else' . I know articles can attract lots of site visitors, and some of those people may click out of the article onto other pages of your website which then leads to more profit either from Ads, CPA, or to a sales page. I'm kind of sketchy about putting affiliate links or sales page links into articles because it doesn't seem "professional" and to me I feel like it might not be the best idea, but at the same time I feel like it might not be a good idea to expect people to leave the article page unless my website is super fancy, eye appealing, and resourceful, which I can do, but obviously would require lots of time, effort, and money.

What do you guys think I could do?

Don't be sketchy to put affiliate links, as long as they are in the spirit of article. For me, I find adsense adds more annoying than amazon link/pic.
If you want to make decent sales, you'll have to attract traffic. Articles itself don't attract a lot of visitors, if they are not promoted, or rank high in google.
Unless you're some super duper writer, who creates really awesome content.

I would build a email list.

I would place the sign up code at the end of each article and sweeten the deal by offering them a free gift for there time - a gift related to the problem your blog is solving.

This way you can offer affiliate products via email and limit the amount of affiliate links on your blog.

I like this idea a lot. Maybe I should start including an image link of some kind at the bottom of all my posts.

Not if you publish them only on your own site, they can't!

The only traffic that's ever going to attract is some gradual, eventual search-engine traffic, and as the saying goes "Good luck monetizing that", because you may need it.

I think that if you're potentially interested in making money by using articles (which is how I've been making a living for many years, myself), you should start by learning and understanding the fundamental underlying concepts of article marketing and how/why they work.

It's a timeless business model (and actually it's a little easier and more productive and better to do in 2014 than it was in 2008, when I first started), but you need some familiarity with the basics, which at the moment you're lacking.

Here's a one-post overview of "how article marketing works": http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5035794

I don't, in principle, recommend article directories to you, but this post in a thread which was about article directories also contains many links to other threads which explain the basics of article marketing, which should help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

There is nothing wrong about affiliate links in your article but only put them in places that are called for.Cloak your links with a link shortener or a domain that you own which is even better . Article marketing is not dead like most people say it only changed and less hyped up.

Just cloak or redirect to your aff links if you don't want to just show naked affiliate links in your article.

As previously mentioned write a QUALITY ARTICLE leading to your landing page.

Collect the subscriber that way you are able to develop a relationship and sell over and over.

That is of course, with good intentions on helping the subscriber.
