How to sell a Go-Daddy website..

Just looking for some help. About a year ago I purchased a website

from Go Daddy. I didn't do anything with it for a few months, but

got off my but and put some stuff on it. And not very much at that.

I did some back linking and got this guy to do about 50 social book-

marks. It now jumps between PR2 and PR4. I am thinking about selling

this site but I built it with the (website tonight) site builder. So here is

the question.

How do I sell a site that was built with a site builder. Do they loose

everything that was built. Does anyone have any experience with this.

Well, the thing with WST is that its sticks on your account. If you want to sell the site itself, you are pretty limited. You can give the buyer access to it, as in give him the password and login, but that's about it. OR, you can sell the whole GoDaddy account. But that'll only work if the WST is the only product you have in that account.

I'm not familiar with site selling so I can't say too much about anything else, though.

    Good Luck.

I just setup a domain and hosting with godaddy... with the intent to eventually be able to sell a website I'm building now. The customer service person at godaddy told me she never heard of anyone selling a website... so that was no help.

As I have a few websites in my godaddy account and wanted to be able to sell just the new one, I had a totally new and seperate account setup with them... so when I sell the site, I'll push the domain to the buyer, give login details, and have the new owner update the credit card info with their own. So, if you only have the one website in your godaddy account, shouldn't be a big deal. However, if you have several websites within one account on godaddy... well that'll require some creativity.

    Hope that helps

You can push lots of domains from your GD account to your buyer. I've never had a problem.

Now, pushing an entire site built with their website builder is something I've never tried...

    Hi Birddog,

isn't that what a reseller plan would allow you to do easily?
As far as I have seen (but not done myself) you can then offer a separate cPanel along with the domain to the buyer, whilst still being in control of the other domains, all within the one account. That's my understanding anyway.
