Default Affiliate Marketing 101. Can You Verify This?

I recently signed up as an affiliate of a health related product.

My plan was to redirect and cloak the link so consumers would go to a website of mine with the offer on it. This would also keep the offer name short without having a long affiliate link on it.
After reading the terms at the health product site the company states they do not support GoDaddy Masking because they have a no IFrame policy. So I realize I cannot host the offer on my domain name.

However can I still redirect through my domain name to their offer?

And is it a good idea to do this? Someone would click on my domain name (cleaner neater than the long affiliate name) but end up at a different site with the offer?

Thanks all!

I use frames, except they're not really frames... so in the index file I'd put a <frame src="URL"> tag with the affiliate link on there.

So instead of editing the domain redirection, edit the index file page.

Something like what's in this page:

Edit: (oh I can't post links with my post count. Google: 'link cloaking framesrc' into google)

this is perfectly fine as long as you don't use this method with google adwords. You wouldnt even need to use a domain-redirect, you can just redirect from a file on your existing host.

you make a simple php file chicken-coop.php

Quote:
<?php
header( 'Location: http://YOURID.chickendiy.hop.clickbank.net' ) ;
?>
then you can call this like yoursite.com/chicken-coop.php - it will redirect. And in the above file after the "location:" you just enter whatever affiliate link you have.

(Of course, a domain redirect would look a little more cleaner even
