How should I go about becoming an amazon affiliate if I live in North Carolina?

As I'm sure most of you are aware amazon does not offer affiliate programs to people in North Carolina. I am really losing out by not being able to utilize Amazon as an affiliate. I've read a post I saw on a blog once about Viglink but I am to new to this to know what the right decision is. What suggestions do you all have for me? Thanks!

Note: It might be worth taking note that amazon is not my only affiliate on my site.

EDIT: Just got off the phone with amazon. The ban HAS been lifted. North Carolina residents can sign up for the Amazon affiliate program.

    Hey Daniel,

Just because you can't be an Amazon affiliate, doesn't mean that you can't make money with it.

You can get really creative, and just do your own form of DSD, or DropshippingDomination, simply by doing product research, and copy and pasting images to Ebay, but with a slighly higher price than what you would buy that product from Amazon for to ship to your buyer.

This way, you are still netting profit for every sale you make.

Just my two cents, but I hope this gives you some ideas!

Thank you for the reply. Could you elaborate on this just a little bit please? It's sounds very interesting. Thanks

Who says you can't incorporate in Nevada or Delaware?

If it's not allowed in your state, just do business in another state.

If in Nevada as an example; you have an office there, mail forwarding, call forwarding etc..

        Check into it.

That's what I was gonna say. Incorporate in Delaware and use a registered agent. Also get an EIN.

If you do those 2 things you'll have no issue being an Amazon affiliate.

Most of the time, not being able to promote Amazon in certain states is the direct result of a tax issue within that state's tax code.

When you're incorporated, you fall under different tax codes. Amazon KNOWS that some people do that - and they don't care because they don't have any reason to.

          ^^THIS^^

Probably your best solution if you find that the ban hasn't been lifted.
