Mentioning affiliate site in ad?

Would I get less leads if I mentioned what product or site I'm promoting in my ad? If I mention the name some people might not click the link and just type in the site on Google or in their web address, I know I've done that before. What do you guys think? I want to put the name in my ads and salespage because it will make it seem more trustworthy.

What you can also do is get a similar, easy to remember URL that you own that redirects to the affiliate offer, and then place it in your ads.

Why would you cheat the original seller?
Would you eat at McD's and pay at Burger King?
I would not mention the product in the ad because the ad should state the need and resolve it.
After the reader decides he might need the product, he will click your link.

Absolutely agree with Ibugu. You need to sell them the NEED. No matter what the product or company's name is, if the person LOVES a products and sees it can definitely help them in achieving something they truly desire, they will purchase or at least click on it. This is what makes or breaks ads. If you can't portray a desire, you won't grab their attention.

    Good Luck, Sven

Option # 1, get a domain, as already mentioned.

Option # 2, do not hesitate to use the site or product owner name. How many times have you personally NOT CLICKED on an ad, instead typed the URL in Google? I never did this and I am sure most of the people, who actually are interested in the product/offer will not MISS the chance.

Option # 3, build a squeeze page, presell the offer on your squeeze page, get the email addresses, build your list and you will be in a position to pitch your list over and over again. This is what you should do. If you are sending traffic directly to the affiliate page without getting email addresses, you are not eating half of your pizza.

    This.

Sending paid traffic to anything but a squeeze page is a mistake.
