Which way do I go?

I am looking to expand and want to eventually build an authority site in my niche. How would you go about building an authority site? Can you start with a wordpress blog and integrate the blog with your site? Can or should I build my whole site with Wordpress or something like Dreamweaver, etc. Opinions and guidance appreciated.

    I would definitely go a wordpress blog. Search engines love it, its easy to update and it doesnt even need to look like a blog!

    Most authority sites these days are blogs anyway - IM - Shoemoney Tech - techcrunch Celebs - Perez Hilton.

    These are all authority sites and they do pretty well! You just need to provide great value and info, start developing a list from get go and work with other bloggers/webmasters in your niche. Compound this with some article marketing, videos and tuts etc and your on your way.

    Remember you are the authority if you say and show you are to your audience, thats all that matters.
