How To Reach Out To First Time Affilates?

I'm going to release a new product and the niche I am in doesn't really have a ton of people doing affiliate marketing within it. I want to reach out to people that would have list of their own customers to partner or jv with. How do you guys recommend I approach them and what should I offer them to want to promote my product?

I will be offering 50% and they will have to sign up to clickbank.com to get commission.

There are many places where affiliates "hang out" online and services where you can post your call for affiliates. Do a Google search for "Affiliates Wanted."

Here is one place to start. The Warrior Forum Affiliate Data Base.

    The best to you,

Since you already have Clickbank as your platform, then, as you already know, affiliates would naturally gravitate to you if your offering is of value.

The above said, you could also 'cold call' a top affiliate marketer or two and offer a compelling package to him / her in return for mailing the offer to his / her list.

Are you capturing emails with your offer? If yes, may I even suggest a 100% (net after fees etc.) to the top affiliate and perhaps a 50% on your funnel (if you have one). A small cost to you in return for a possible tsunami of email addresses. Just my 2 cents.

With Paydotcom, you can offer 100% commissions. This will raise some affiliates' eyebrows. On Clickbank, i think you should offer 75% commissions (which is the max). Your main goal is to get the customer and market to the new customer over and over again, so that they can buy more and more of your products. This is where the money in your business is. For the affiliates who get you the sale (for 100% commissions), kudos for them. But you should think about other ways to connect and reach out for affiliates. If the niche you are in really is obscure enough to not have many people affiliate marketing in it, then I would just stick the product on Clickbank, and provide the affiliates with banners and other tools.

Then, when someone who IS affiliate marketing in that niche decides to try and find a product, they will find yours.

Whilst you wait for people to come to you, I would contact blogs in your niche, and tell them that if they promote your product, they get a percentage of the sales.

Usually all marketing and webmasters forums have an affiliate/jv section, start with that.

I recommend building an affiliate page with info on your product and helpful promotion tips like swipes.
Have an opt in form so you can build a list of affiliates to reach out to again on another product launch.
Promote to JV FB groups, there's dozens of them out there with JVs just waiting to jump on board a good offer.

    Best of luck!
