Hey there, I am launching my own product and want to get a video done just as an extra source of traffic to my website as I heard this is a good way to go. 1. Do you have a different video for each KW the same as you would an article? Would you just create the same one in diiferent format so just changing it a little? 2. I guess you can submit one video targeting a particular KW to many directories. 3. If I wanted to create a video to give away to affiliates to use for their promotions, could I do this or would it be duplicate content. If you gave away articles you would ask your affiliates to change a little so just wondering what I do when it comes to video? Hope you can help me out with some info here. Many Thanks! |

Hi Moneyland You could use the same video and publish it over and over. This would be a bad idea and would annoy searchers. Once you have made one video the second is much easier. After the first 20 they are quicker than writing content and articles. So start with 5 and title them with your main keywords. Once you have traffic coming from them you will be hooked. I know someone who has over 20,000 views from his 15 videos in the last year. These are for a real offline business in the UK. When his phone rings the calls are very targeted. Good luck Kenj |

[1] You do want to target one keyword phrase for each video you submit to a video sharing site like YouTube, just like you would with article marketing. While you can make small changes to a video and resubmit it many times (and some do), I am not a big fan of that practice. Rather, submit one video to a number of video sharing sites to get more exposure. Then, create another one that targets another keyword phrase and repeat the process. [2] See #1 [3] In my experience, the "duplicate content" is blown way out of proportion! Personally, I don't worry about duplicate content that occurs on sites I do not own. I am only concerned with duplicate content found on my own site. I give my affiliates lots of tools (including articles) and am in the process of making them videos too. I don't care at all if they don't rewrite the articles I give them as they will live on their sites and not mine. However, I do recommend that they rewrite any article I give them if they are going to submit it to a quality directory, like EzineArticles.com because I don't want them to risk getting suspended. If they are going to put the article on their site/blog, then this isn't an issue. It's the exact same thing as normal article syndication... You submit an article to EzineArticles.com, etc and hope that other webmasters/bloggers pick up your article and syndicate it on their site/blog. The SEs know that syndication is normal and you won't be penalized for it. In the same vein, I wouldn't worry about the videos you will give out either. Hope this helps, Kevin | |
