Default Clickbank not getting their checks

Hi,

Clickbank says it mailed me a small affiliate sales check on June 24th, which I never got. I have no problems getting my mail from anyone else, and I live in a low crime residential area. I had this issue in the past, never getting their checks.

Now they say they can recut the check but charge me $20 to cancel the old one. How am I to know that the new one will get here? If they only allowed immediate direct deposit or Paypal payment this would be solved. This makes me think that this is all by design. They insist on paper checks which never get here. On top of that, I have more than 3 checks that they claim they mailed me that I never received, so why can't I qualify for direct deposit?? My account does not have that setting to choose. Oh wait a minute - another "qualification" - it has to be 3 checks in 12 weeks. Looks like I am screwed no matter which way I turn with these people..

I am thinking about dropping Clickbank completely and just going with another affiliate site.

I answered their email telling them that this is a scam that they are pulling. Maybe I can report them to the FTC or someone. I am sick of this crap.

I have never experienced a problem getting paid by Clickbank and if it were a scam, there would be threads all over about it.

I am not sure what is happening in your case but I'd be fairly certain you will still get your money, but the wait may be a pain. Hope its gets sorted out soon.

Hope that's a little bit more reassuring.

Have you had a look round the forum recently, Webwyn? There are.

I don't suggest that it's a scam at all. I think the OP's mistaken about that. But it's certainly very rare indeed to see so many widespread complaints about the administration, policies and customer service of one company. Certainly nobody could accuse Clickbank of apparently being sensitive to adverse publicity. It might perhaps be a rather different situation if they had more competition.

My clickbank checks travel thousands of miles before I get them, and in the past 6 years I never missed one of them. Always on time as well

Just because your area is low crime does not mean it did not happen.

1. Rent a mail box at your local post office or anywhere that rents boxes with keys (more secure).

2. Ask clickbank to reissue the check.

Are you sure you did not toss it with the junk mail ;-)

Come on, where are the masses of threads of people actually not getting legitimately paid, compared to those that do get paid.

Check that your mail address is absolutely correct. I had this issue with HSBC for years until I found out by accident that they were mailing it to an address in Taipei City that didn't exist. And I must have updated my address several times over the years I was with them. Normally, I'd forgive an oversight like that. But with HSBC, it was a number of dumb-ass mistakes that led me to close my account with them in the end.

Sometimes a mistake is a mistake, and sometimes it is a symptom of bigger 'issues'. Only you can tell, but I doubt that CB is doing it deliberately.

I have to say I'm having a CB issue with one of my paper cheques!

I opened a new account a few months ago when all the CB stories were floating around about dodgy hops. Of course you have to go through the 3 cheques requirement again.

Well I have cheque #1 and I have cheque #3 but cheque #2 just never turns up!

I've had to cancel it once and they've supposedly reissued it again and still 4 weeks later, still no cheque #2. So it's looking like I have to get them to reissue the damn thing again - and yes at $20 a pop to cancel and reissue soon it won't be worth requesting the damn thing.

Luckily I'm on direct deposit now, but it's touch and go for me with those cheques.

P.S. Yes I'm in the UK but it doesn't take that long!!! And I get all my other mail, but this one cheque seems not to want to fall into my hot little hands!

My mail address is correct. I triple checked it. I do have a PO box which I just bought for something IM related. Maybe I will just change my account mail address to that as a test. I hate that they charge us $20 though. That is the part that really gets me. Why not just offer direct deposit or PP payment immediately? This is so stupid and unnecessary.

I have never, ever, ever had a problem with clickbank. I live in Norway and have recieved my check every time except once.

THe one time was because I have moved, and forgotten to inform clickbank about it. I sent them an email and they resent my check (It cost me 20, but still).

Clickbank get some negative comments because they are a big part of our community. It sems like clickbank is to blame for the ressession, the summer, the lack of updating salespages and so much more. They are not. They provide a linking and payment service and pay you on time.

Clickbank is an Übercool service that pays many of this forum members paychecks. It is ok to be critical, but have your evidence before you start talking down about them.

Uh.... I have my evidence. My mailing address is correct and I have never gotten my checks. I may have gotten one a long time ago but none of the several they claim that they have mailed. I get all of my other mail.

..and it isn't the money. The check was only for ~$54. It's that I can't trust that I will ever get a check from them.

Okay I have to update this post and eat some crow. I never got the older checks that I spoke of, but I can't prove that my thieving conniving wife didn't deposit it and didn't tell me. She usually intercepts the mail, and even right now she is ruining my credit in various ways. I have been in a struggle to regain financial control from her. First the mortgage that she messed up and ruined my credit, now a credit card in my name that she is doing the same to. Amazing that a 45 yr old college educated woman can act so irresponsibly with money and credit, even that which is in my name. I could kill her but I don't want to go to jail over it or rob my son of his mother.

This is a real motivating factor for me to succeed in IM. I need vast sums of money to be able to pay the bills by myself and totally bypass her and make her totally irrelevant as far as money goes. I **** you not. It's sad but those are th facts. I am a good guy too. I didn't deserve this lot in life, but life is seldom fair.

Anyway, I get home from work today - she is in another state on a business trip - and the CB check came in the mail today.

So, CB sent the check. Seems a bit late but I guess that is the time it takes from the date they cut it to the time I get it.

Okay, even though I doubt they read this I apologize to CB. I have to email them and tell them I am sorry.
