I have to agree with a previous post on this thread regarding this giveaway - it doesn't really sit well with me either. Note to self ... next time Daniel has a product for sale don't buy and wait on the free giveaway!

I wouldn't really mind paying even if others get it for free but the product didn't really blow me away hence the reaction.

One this should have gone into the free section of the forum.

Two giving it away while the wso is still running, is a way of self promoting the wso without mentioning it.

Daniel tried this before he released his wso, and I've read the book and I would say, it's OK but nothing different from a million others.

To compare yourself with John Reese is laughable. They dont in the middle of a campaign suddenly offer a few free copies, in the hope of getting some free reviews.

I wouldn't think I could top any of the tips already put out here but something I learned about videos if anyone is doing fitness related videos on the web is that workout videos with hard rock music in them tend to get more views and positive comments than others. Also for those new to video marketing when making videos be sure to keep the title of the video related to the keywords that someone would be typing in to search for them. "How-to" videos can be very powerful using the steps already outlined by others.

I don't need anymore reviews or testimonials, I already sold over 1,000 copies from the WSO alone and there's more than 40 in feedback in that thread and another 40 or so in the old forum WSO thread. Wether it's better than others or not, it doesn't really matter because my customers are satisfied and making money with it, which I feel great about because it's my first IM product.

And Bev, 10 free copies of Traffic Secrets 2.0 were offered right here by Allen himself for the first 10 people to reply to a thread, one week after TS2 launch. Then another 10 free copies were offered for the best advice to newbies, I believe you got a copy yourself.

I'm not trying to compare myself to anyone here, I'm just stating that it has been done before.

1. This is not promoting my WSO, if anything it will hurt my sales, why would people buy it after I gave away 25 copies free? This is called giving back to the community.

2. I have no problem if this is moved to the free section, I didn't even know there was one.

3. How is "The first 10 to reply to this thread get a free copy of TS2" different than "The first 20 to reply to this thread get a free copy of TNB"?

This has gone completely out off topic and now I'm just feeling insulted. That's what I get for being nice and in a good mood. Since when is giving out free stuff harming anyone?

Yes people do this AFTER they have sold their product, which is further down the line when they are launching a new product not usually whilst the current product is still being sold!

BEST video advice is to keep it short to the point and always link to a sort of show notes., But even bigger that that is emphasize that taking action on small amounts of information is best when starting out you don't want to study for a living you want to make some money so TELL them now go and put this into practice on a short actionable video lesson!

This is what you get if you charge me for something and then give it away the next day for Free , it's not the cost, it's the principle, do I take it personally, no, but I am trying to show you a different side to all the "thank you so much Daniel" comments you're getting, of course people getting something for free will be positive, but in this game, it's vital you hear both sides of the story to get a balance.

If you charge people for something and then one day later, just give it away in full view of the very people you charged, then yes, it's not going to be postive commentary you receive in return from those customers.

Look at this way Daniel, would anybody in their right mind go and buy a WSO from somebody again in a hurry if based on historical evidence that person then gives it away from free a couple of days later, in the IM niche, it's all about credibility and building a customer base that trust you.

You can consider it bashing but that's not actually my intention, trust me when I bash, I BASH, and I don't think you deserve to be bashed, this is just sane commentary.

I could care less about $20, it's the principle and I didn't want you to see just positive commentary from happy folks gladly taking a freebie, without seeing the flip side of the coin , because sometimes what you don't hear from disgruntled customers is actually more important than what you do hear from happy ones, you can learn from both.

I don't doubt your intentions were genunine Daniel, but just be aware there are two sides to every step you take and of course those who are getting it for free won't be overly negative but your customers who did pay you won't be thinking the same and it's important a few people at least made that point. The vast majority will stay silent but I will stake my grandmother on it, they will have formed an opinion on it and kept it to themselves.

You can take the feedback or leave it, but it's important at least you see it.

All the best for your IM future Daniel, don't take my comments too negatively, believe it or not , there potentially something of value in them.
