Google Adsense or Clickbank

I have a membership site and generates revenue of around $200 per week via Clickbank. I receive around 200 visits per day. I'm wondering if it would be more sensible to make my membership area open it to the public and place Google ads to generate revenue through Google Adsense. Which do you think would be more profitable.

Any thoughts on this would be great.

Thanks.

Adsense pay is really low. Your best bet would be to build a list if you aren't already, and convert more of those visitors into buyers.

It's incredibly unlikely that you'll be able to make more than $200 per week with Google Adsense off of 200 visitors per day. I have site's that get 2,000 visits per day, in moderately high paying Adsense niches, that only make around $35 per week.

Chances are, Adsense is not worth it for your site at all. But if you're curious, you may want to test adding Adsense as a supplemental income strategy. Rather than replace what you currently have in place.

Adsense is great when used in the right context, but in your case, it wouldn't make you close to what you're currently getting from clickbank

The simple answer is that there is NO way to know until you test it. It doesn't take long to set up AdSense and test it on a website (unless it is very big) so instead of wondering, just test it in practice and then you'll know for sure

Based on his 200 visitors a day, he would have to do $142 CPM (that's per thousand page views) in Adsense to make $200 in a week.

Not sure what niche he's in, but chances are if he's selling infoproducts on clickbank, Adsense won't produce $142 per thousand page views.

But yeah, you always want to test. I'll put my money on Adsense not even coming close.

Fantastic replies everyone. Much appreciated. I am building a double opt-in list and it grows by about 20 subscribers per day. I'll continue with Clickbank and mail list building.

Stick with membership. Adsense is good only if you have thousands of daily traffic.

200 visitors/day is not enough for a good living with Adsense.

You need to increase traffic up to at least 25 times.

If you're reading somewhere how Adsense niche sites are earning money, I'd check the post date as it's likely an old post. Adsense doesn't pay anything like it did five years ago. Stick with your affiliate sales and work on building up your traffic.

Says the man who doesn't make money with Adsense

Adsense makes me and many others plenty of money.

But I will say it does take a lot of traffic for it to be worth it, but traffic is something I have a lot of so for the particular application I'm using it for, it is the best option

Why don't you provide the URL, that way we can know what you're doing and see if an alternative is possible and if it will be profitable.

I know little of what exactly you're doing.

Anyhow a paid membership site is the way to make most money from a membership site not adsense or affiliate links. Maybe give a free trial.

I did the math and with 200 visitors a day if you have just 2 new members a day you'll make $1140 a month (at $19/mo membership fee) - and if you keep getting 2 new members on the second month you make double that.

You already have the traffic, so look whether it's possible to charge a monthly fee.

Clickbank pays out around $170 million per year on average. Google Adsense pays out around $8 billion per year .This is not to say see that Clickbank is useless, it just has a different model which may suit you.

Keep doing what's working. If Clickbank is making you the money, don't change it. Something (for some reason) tells me that if you add Adsense on your site, your overall monthly income may decrease. I would keep the Clickbank, keep creating more sites, and repeat the formula for $200/month.

If you use the adsense, your earning may down, because the google divert your visitor. So it is better do avoid adsense, because you are earning money by another way.

Belong to your user quality and how you target your customers. Google can target customers well since Clickbank can't do that well. If you target well yourself then let 's use clickbank unless using google
