I currently sell information products for people who wager on horse races; not something one would usually find as a WSO. LOL

However, I have developed some very worthwhile tools for other info marketers.

Over the years I have purchased many products here. Now I am thinking of producing some myself.

Can someone direct me to an explanation of how to do that?

Kind Regards,
Dave Schwartz

I suspect that some people may not quite understand your question, Dave. I remember looking at it myself, when you first posted it, and not understanding at all what the connection was supposed to be between the first three sentences of your post; I'm afraid I still don't. Apologies for being unhelpful - I'm simply wondering whether perhaps a slightly fuller explanation of what you're asking might encourage more people to reply.

You're looking to produce products for the WarriorForum, or for products about Internet Marketing? I have a good course for free (not my course) if you want to learn how to create info-products in any niche. Email me if you want me to send you the book.

Thank you for the heads up.

I want to know how one begins to sell their own info products on Warrior Forum.

Maybe this won't help much, but there are a ton of product creation products on within WSO and a lot of people within the JV section of Warrior who have products that are established, yet need someone to market it for them. As far as marketing horse racing products.....I got nuthin! ;-)

If you want a recommendation, Easy Cash System Pro by Anthony La Roca is pretty good. Search for it within WSO.

I think "becoming well-known and well-respected here" is the essential starting-point, because the primary determinant of "what makes WSO's sell" is who their author is.

The next most important thing is probably having in the sales-post one or two testimonials from other well-respected Warriors who have bought and paid for the product and say so (i.e. not recipients of free "review copies"), used it, and comment on their results.

Even though most sales numbers aren't openly disclosed, if you spend a few hours looking through the WSO threads (and perhaps especially the ones not still on the first few pages) it becomes pretty clear from the threads that the great majority of WSO's to which those two considerations don't apply are making very few sales.

I think it will help you, as a marketer, to look at it in these kind of "marketing terms", because they determine what you produce. Professional marketers tend to start by finding out what people want to buy (i.e. "what makes things sell"), and then find a way to provide something for them, rather than starting by learning how to produce a product and then worrying about how to market it.

Come up with a great, unique idea for a product
        Create the product
Create the sales letter and funnel if desired
List as WSO and also on Warrior Plus and JVZoo
Approve some proven affiliates from W+ and JVZoo (that you know and trust)

It all starts with the product. Do that right and the rest should be easy

          First, thanks for the responses.

I guess I am really struggling to make myself clear. LOL - So much for selling product here if I cannot write clearly.

What I am asking is... the mechanics of making an offer. Am I incorrect in assuming that one does not simply create an offer?

I assumed that there was an affiliate arrangement with WF; that one needed an upgraded status in order to be allowed to sell here.

          Am I mistaken?

Submit the WSO and pay $20 when it is approved. Read the WSO Rules. It'll tell you what you can do and can't do. There's no affiliate arrangement with the WF if you use this link to create your listing, which is what I use.

If you use Warrior Payments, they get a commission, I believe. This is how you create it.

The WSO selling rules are currently being reconsidered and rewritten and the forthcoming new version hasn't yet been published.

The current situation is that you can list a WSO with or without using "Warrior Payments", which is the only payment/affiliate set-up that's formally affiliated to the forum.
              Thank you!

That was precisely what I was looking for!

            Yes, you are.

(It's no longer necessary to be a "War Room Member" to list a WSO here.)

There are various other independent ways of doing this (e.g. WarriorPlus - not part of the forum in spite of the name! - JVZoo and others), or you can use your own (PayPal, or whatever else you want). It's entirely up to you. For now, at least.

The Forum Administrator's made a post on the subject recently, but without the search function working properly, I can't find it, to show you.

Looks like you got an answer to the question you was after!

So now that you know there are no glass ceilings (except for the $20) I would recommend increasing the number of comments you have on the forum so your social cred increases. At least that is a good idea I think, while you're scoping out the landscape for a niche to fill/a problem to resolve. And segueing from horse racing!

To me, that's a win-win. Better that, than to work hard on a product and have slow progress to really getting noticed. If you knew what product/service you wanted to sell today, it would still take a couple of weeks - atleast - to create something of value which can't be duplicated by competition immediately. After a couple of weeks, getting in the habit of writing several comments a day, you'd have a better reputation on this forum and, hey, you might even get some good ideas while you're at it!

      Papa,

Thank you for the sound advice.

I have no intention of leaving horse racing. It is an extremely strong business for us.

However, I have several products in mind to produce for this group. For example, I have a productivity system that allows me to (literally) more than triple my person productivity.

Imagine if you could REALLY get 3x done in the same amount of time? Something that takes you 3 hours now, would get done in one hour. Literally.

I taught it to my daughter who is a contract braillist (for colleges, school districts, etc.). When we started she was making $24 per hour. After applying my techniques for 5 months she was earning at a rate of $70 per hour!

      I used it to write a 420-page 8.5 x 11 e-book in under a month!

Another product I would like to produce is a process for creating info products.

When I produced my first All-Day seminar - 4.5 hours of seminar material - it took me just over 60 hours to produce. That's a ratio of 13.5-to-1. That is, for every hour of seminar, it took me 13.5 hours of production.

Over the last 3 years I have honed the process to a sharp edge. The last seminar I produced was at a ratio of 3.8-to-1!

      About Our "Real" Business
We are a "mom & pop" business. I do most of the work - I produce the content, I send the emails, produce products, etc. My wife does the accounting, shipping and interfacing with customers. We are just now getting into the process of outsourcing throw offshore virtual assistants.

Our horse racing business is all about repeat business. We take all the marketing steps very seriously, except that we do not "market hard."

Our business model is "1,000 True Fans."

      Some of the highlights:

      1) Small email list - We do not just want names.
      2) 71% of the email list have purchased from us.
      3) 80% of the purchasers have purchased more than once.
      4) Return rate on products is less than 1%.
      5) LCV (actually, we do a 5yr customer value) is very high.

BTW, this is our 25th year in business. (Originally we mostly sold software. We added info products about 5 years ago.)

The point to all of this is that the business is working for us by actually doing a lot of the stuff the marketers here suggest we do. We purchase a lot of stuff on Warrior Forum. A LOT of stuff. Most of the things we purchase are never digested completely. I just cannot read everything. LOL - I actually have a process for reading the materials we buy.

Like a lot of internet marketers, our bottleneck is implementation. There just aren't enough hours to do everything.

I am just looking for an opportunity to share some of the stuff we have developed because I KNOW it would help other marketers and would-be marketers.

Anyway, thanks again for all the help guys.

      Regards,
      Dave Schwartz

(More comments or questions are welcome.)

Besides the productivity system, there are several other tools I would like to share. For example, I have a process for building new video seminar products.
