Why Sell Yourself Short? To Hell With $10 to $100 Per Day

I was a kid...

Boarding school. Half-day Wednesday. My first ever guitar lesson. I walked into the music room and it went something like this.

FADE IN.

INT. MUSIC ROOM - DAY

GRM kicks open the MUSIC ROOM door. Grinning from ear-to-ear, decked out in jeans, DOC MARTIN boots, and black leather jacket, GRM pauses for a moment in the doorway, letting coolness pervade the open-mouthed onlookers. A BEAT and GRM miraculously intensifies the grin and quickly strums the electric FENDER in an ode to Bill and Ted, before strolling over and plonking down in an empty seat. TEACHER and FOUR other students look on - still.

GRM
(Making the sign of the Devil with one hand.)
What we doing, girls?
(The students are all male.)
GnR or Van Halen?

TEACHER clears her throat.

TEACHER
That would be Tom Dooley.
(Beat)
(Grin)
Axl.

FADE OUT.

Back to the present day... And my point.

I look around WF and I see newcomers (at least, I assume they're newcomers) asking how to make 10 bucks a day, 100 bucks a day.

And here's the thing:

You're Selling Yourself Short.

And the kid GRM would tell you the same thing.

Why do things by halves? Why sit looking like a jerk and holding a freaking acoustic guitar, when you can be Bill AND/ OR Ted and strum a freaking Fender?

Point is:

You were clever enough to realize that internet marketing is the way to go for you. So - continue that cleverness and realize that if you don't shoot for the stars, aim higher, then the entire endeavour is a waste of time.

Think about a few things:

1. Email & Zip Joins pay from $1 to around $12
2. Signups can pay hundreds.
3. Most of the information is free.
4. Most of the tools (WP, Plugins, etc) are free.
5. And you have 8 gazillion experts on WF willing to help you.

Does it get any easier?

Here's my suggestion:

1. Read WF.
2. Figure out Business Models that Work.
3. Decide Which Models You'd Like to Do.
4. Use WF some More.
5. Explore Google to Get More Answer on those Models.
6. Get Some PAID Hosting.
7. TAKE ACTION.
8. When You Get Stuck - Ask for Help on WF.

It's simple really.

And when you're making a few bucks - PLOW THAT MONEY BACK.

Investing in your business is the same as investing in yourself, investing in your future.

AND . . . Ignore any wise-ass who replies below. Just follow steps 1 to 8 . . . You can't go wrong.

Now GRAB THAT FREAKIN' FENDER!

    I'm with you buddy.

One of the hardest things is dealing with all of the noise. And naysayers. And haters. And trouble makers. And trolls.

So my advice to struggling up and comers - IGNORE all of that.

    Focus on this:

One of the BEST things you can have is confidence in your ability to achieve, develop a REAL business model, then dig in and FOCUS like you were fighting a batch of frenzied Mercenaries in Fallout 3.

Absolutely 100% agree with you. All you need really is a strategy, a belief in yourself and a huge desire, and then take action.

There are many business models and plenty of people here on WF to help.

It's definitely possible to start with a low budget and with consistent work on your plan get to any amount you want.

      Right on...

Haha, awesome. Agreed. (Especially with the Fallout 3 reference!)

      Agreed, too.

I made huge desire bold because, out of everyone who I've seen arrive, flourish, and go on to great success, that has been the common element.

Thanks, Svensonia! The line in bold is what it's all about. I can actually remember the first time I saw posts from some people who went on to make fortunes (we're talking affiliate programs, sports cars, the works). Those initial posts all had the same feel: the person was hungry for success. In a sense, it's like Rocky 3 - you have to have the eye of the tiger. Ha
